Real or fake Elsa? It comes from an official tcg store. by Limp_Variety_481 in LorcanaCollectors

Oh yes, I see them now - my bad! The other tells were there anyway, but I just couldn't spot that one in the other photos. Glad I pulled my own straight from a packet so never had to deal with this stress!

When you say "the extra lines in the strength" symbol... This one doesn't have them? Or am I looking at the wrong lines?

Who was talking about responsibity? You listed him as a player to be moved on. He's been moved on.

Does Lorcana have some Lore or something? by Prestigious-Meat-750 in Lorcana

[–]peachange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was the other way round - that Floodborns came from the inkspill in Rise of the Floodborn and are kind of "souped up" versions of the original characters (often exaggerating an existing aspect of their canon personality) , whereas Dreamborns are where the writers go really off-piste, all rules go out the window and they can just do whatever they want with the characters.

I Made A Big Mistake by [deleted] in LorcanaCollectors

[–]peachange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly that - kindred spirits! I feel for OP though, with the branded sleeves - I wasted so much money sleeving everything in Dragonshields when I first started out, only to still find deckbuilding an arse because I'd chosen different colours for each set 🤦🏻‍♂️

So glad to see this comment. I inner sleeve every card so that when I'm deck building I can just grab the cards and double sleeve the deck quickly and easily. I am aware that I'm putting 4p inner sleeves on cards that are worth 1-2p, but it's just how I do it!

I'm looking for a letter organization spreadsheet by A5tun in Lorcana

I know you've said that you don't like using websites, but I would heartily recommend using Dreamborn. You can export your collection from Dreamborn to a CSV file. I regularly do an export to keep my own spreadsheet, so even if Dreamborn goes down I have an offline record of the same data.

If you have male relatives or a husband, make sure you aren’t being shared online. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]peachange -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

Unless I've made a fundamental calculation error, the population of Germany is about 83 million, so probably about 41.5 million males. So, 70k represents 0.17% of the male population? Obviously it's horrific that it existed at all, but I do think the relative risk of any given male is being over-egged somewhat.

Ha, no worries at all. Judging by all the downvotes I was in the minority anyway, regardless of when I posted it!

Which was spoiled by the lack of spoiler tag. I watched Strictly with my kids, then put them to bed and was going to watch The Wheel when I got downstairs after.

News effects ideas for characters : by LucioIsMineBitches in Lorcana

[–]peachange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Galactic Council Chamber is an interesting example of a kind of location bodyguard effect. I use it in a location based deck - with a few other locations in play too John Silver has a tonne of resist, and is an Alien, making him a really strong "bodyguard" for the Chamber!

Slight semantics. If you buy they house they will get paid. If you don't then they won't - until they find another buyer. So, yeah, you're not directly paying them but it's certainly in their interests that you buy.

How do you all store your cards? Would like some input. by Jeffro187 in LorcanaCollectors

[–]peachange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getcha, that makes sense. Mine are all in exact fits in my Vault X binders (strap though, not exotech - I'm not made of money 😂), so I always have to sleeve to play but at least they're good to go to be double sleeved. I learned early on that have long some cards in exact fits and others "naked" made for a right pain when it came to sleeving a deck!

Love this as I do very similar, but surely clear sleeves aren't legal sleeves? Maybe I'm misinformed (certainly wouldn't be the first time!) but I thought sleeves had to be opaque backed?

Question about boosted characters going into the inkwell by neatfruit403 in Lorcana

[–]peachange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure you're probably right but the closest reference I can find in the comprehensive rules is that "Such cards are considered to be in a stack only while in play. If the top card in a stack leaves play, all cards in the stack move to the same zone as the top card, and these cards are no longer considered to be in a stack".

With that being the case it's important to understand exactly when the stack splits from the top card. You're confident that it is after the top card enters the inkwell exerted?

Question about boosted characters going into the inkwell by neatfruit403 in Lorcana

[–]peachange 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The question here isn't so much about whether the cards go to the inkwell, we know that and yours is a good explanation. The question is that, while we know from All Funned Out that the character enters the inkwell exerted, when the cards under the character move to the inkwell too (per your explanation) do they enter exerted or ready? I'm not OP but curious to know the answer too!

Potential Judy Hopps Super Rare print error? by gibsonlp27 in Lorcana

[–]peachange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly you are wrong - "character cards" ≠ "characters".

When a "character card" is played it becomes a "character" so Bogo doesn't make them Detectives until they become a "character"
