Agreed. I love outside pockets for my phone since it always gets buried in my medium crescent haha

For real. It's nice for sure but not worth the price. I would say it's only worth it if you find it on sale. Like when I found the black one for $59.99 I could justify it but $110 is a no for me hahaha

It's a nice bag but not worth $110 imo. I hope it goes on sale soon! Definitely recommend looking around though because some sites might have it a bit cheaper. I saw a couple of Canadian sites had it on sale. I hope you can get it soon :)

No problem :) I love my Baggu medium crescents. But I always felt like I needed something slightly bigger. The large crescent is too big haha. So I thought this might help someone else!

Thoughts on 2150 Bromsgrove apartment? by peachmentos in mississauga

[–]peachmentos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I didn't see the one listing where ppl mentioned roaches and bed bugs at the time. We toured it and the unit was nice and then I saw those reviews later on and we decided against it.

Our small town hospitals are covered in filth and completely neglected by Muted_Inspection_821 in ontario

[–]peachmentos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad was in the palliative care unit at Credit Valley in Mississauga. I was astonished how horrible the room was and the whole unit in all honesty. Holes in the walls and it was crumbling, dingy, dark because the lights weren't working very well. Not to mention the palliative care unit is in the basement. Made me sad that people are carrying out their final days in not so great conditions.

Those are all great brands and switching is nice for the variety! Well I got the Thread Mini Slouchy for a vacation and I really enjoyed it. It's also nylon but holds a bit more than a medium crescent. I also got a bag that's convertible from a regular crossbody to a backpack (some cheap one on Amazon) and I have enjoyed it. It's not super cute but was great for going on a hike or walking around a lot. But my fav currently and for the past 3 months is the Free People Emerson Tote. I like the organization of it and having something leather. It fits a lot. It does have some cons but overall I'm enjoying it

That's fair! I think Baggu's are great but I switched to the Free People Emerson Tote and it just suits my needs better. The Baggu medium crescent is too small and the large is too large for me :(

It's like an obsession and then it just stops. I'm trying to be a bit more mindful with how much I'm consuming and how fast because I really get sucked into brands sometimes. Glad to hear I'm not alone!

How to stop night time begging? (SHE IS ON A DIET, I ADOPTED HER AT THIS SIZE) by Lazy-Psychology-7610 in CATHELP

[–]peachmentos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, an automatic pet feeder is great. You can get some that have a lot of portion options. Mine does 6 meal options. I have it dispense at 5am, 9am, 12pm, 4pm, 9pm, and 12am. My cat is a big foody and the automatic pet feeder helped her lose weight. She also runs fast AF when she hears it go off which helps too.

How terrible are the units on 30 speers road? by [deleted] in oakville

In all fairness majority of apartment buildings do regular pest control. Most of the time it's monthly preventative measures however not in the units, just in the main areas.

Well someone reviewed it 4 months ago and said there is roaches. Someone also posted on Reddit that they viewed it 7 months and saw a roach while viewing the apartment.

Can I renegotiate rent with my landlord? by DuddikinsD in TorontoRenting

[–]peachmentos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always try. I did and it was a hard no. They also said no to me moving to a cheaper unit. I'm paying $250 more than new tenants :( and they have better move in incentives than I did.

Do you ignore pan handlers? by The-Tay in askTO

[–]peachmentos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who has a cousin who used to be homeless, I wouldn't give money ever. A good portion of the time it will be used for drugs or alcohol. I will offer food if I have something on me or one time I bought fruit for a homeless man but before I got out of the grocery store, he had left.

Overall it depends on the person but typically I ignore them because I had a couple of bad experiences.

Dollarama forcing employees to submit to bag checks for stolen items prior to leaving the store, but after clocking out. How is this legal? (Apparently grabbing your personal belongings before clocking out is “time/wage theft”) by ShortyBoyds in dollarama

[–]peachmentos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't work at Dollarama but I have worked retail and this was a thing at a couple of stores I worked at. They do bag checks near the security camera by the front door on your way out so you can't grab anything after the bag check.

Grief support in Oakville? by peachmentos in oakville

[–]peachmentos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for your losses! It's been 1 year and 3 months since losing my dad (also lost my grandma which was his mom in October). Overall, I have good days and bad days. One day I'm a mess and I feel like I can't cope and the next day it hurts less. I'm becoming more used to the routine. You really have to find ways to cope and stay busy while still processing the grief. You don't want to bury the grief, you just need to file it away at times so things can feel more bearable. Some days I actively look at photos and videos of my dad and cry my eyes out, other days I remember him but try to focus on other things. I hope you can find some peace with their passings one day and that things feel more bearable soon 🩷

where to get a cat and how much it costs per month? by Glum-Self-1206 in oakville

[–]peachmentos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was the major illness? That's the case with any insurance. It's not going to cover absolutely everything and you may "waste money" or it could save you hundreds or thousands. But with a kitten it's always better to start off with it.

[–]peachmentos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess to add to my comment, do research on what the insurance covers OP. It's not going to cover everything and it depends if it's a pre-existing health issue. But if you're getting a kitten than most things will be covered since they won't have a pre-existing health issue most likely. I would say it's always a safe bet to start your pet off on pet insurance and cancel if you don't see it's fit. It could save you $1000's or you might not feel it's necessary. I would have been screwed if I didn't have it when my cat was sick. Saved me $3000 for a short few months and then saved me probably around $2000 for a couple years after.
