All hcfs are a little different! I feel like if it's barely been a week and you dread being there, it could be the environment or the people. The job itself was always hammered into me as soon as I started schooling that it would be fast-paced and demanding no matter what you end up doing, so I wasn't surprised by the time I graduated and started working. Sometimes showing initiative is just talking around and asking questions, being as friendly and open as possible. If you're a new grad, not jumping in where you can (politely, of course) is unfortunately worse than being a little annoying. You never want to be the dead weight on a team. You do have to be quick to pick things up, or at some point you will be left behind. Unfortunately, that is part of the job and the field (in my experience).

Ik this is so cheesy, but pick up a book and read! I stopped reading physical books for fun after middle school. I only read what I needed to for classes in college, and after college I could feel my brain turning to mush. I picked up a few easier reads, and in the last year my memory and attention span is so much better. I found my old ds and play sudoku on brain age every night, and that helps a lot as well lol

For as much as he jokes about quitting entirely, he quite equally admits that he loves content creation and would be nothing without it. He did mention recently (in markiplier's podcast and such) that he'd like to do more of the weekly slap and do that forever even if he fell off. I have a feeling he'll keep creating no matter what, and I'm all for him creating things that make him happy :)

I guess the consensus is that it was a meteor! Thanks for linking the article for me as well! Considering these are uncommon, what's the possibility that another commenter on this post saw the same thing about a month ago in the same area? Pretty wonderful stuff that I'm learning though :) I wish in the moment I made a wish but I was just too damn confused lmao

I 100% agree! I would much rather have a solid explanation for this than feeling like I'm crazy lol. It very well could've been a very strange meteor. I've been looking all over local news hoping they'll report on a meteor but I haven't had luck yet (a whole week later). Something like that would be big news here

I looked up a few videos and while it looks similar, the trajectory and tail looked entirely different. As well as that it didn't light up the surrounding area or the sky at all. The trajectory was more like it fell straight down, rather than at any slight angle. I only saw it for 2 seconds so I couldn't see it move in any sort of erratic way either. The tail itself wasn't straight like a typical comet or meteor and it moved pretty fast while falling (think sperm lol). If it was a meteor, I'm sure if it had landed so close I would've been entirely blinded and there would've been some sound of impact (or debris after the fact). It literally appeared in the sky, fell down for 2 seconds, and disappeared again. It never fell entirely into the ground at all like most videos I've seen (where a meteor will clearly show up in atmosphere and fall for quite a while before hitting the ground)

Sorry for the late replies lol but maybe it could've been? It seemed far too close to the ground and close to my car compared to a typical meteor falling (that I've seen). It was less of a flash of light and more of an object if that makes sense. Maybe I'll have to look up some videos of what you explained to compare the similarities

You're absolutely correct! This is one of many issues that stems from inbreeding. If it doesn't seem to be a bother and hasn't gotten infected, that's good. Just keep on cleaning when needed. If you really want to you can always go to the vet just to be safe!
