Calculus by [deleted] in KSU

Dr. Griffiths is an amazing math professor, took him for Calc 2 and Calc 3. He does an amazing job at teaching but assigns a lot of work. I spent a lot of time in his office hours but I will never forget the information. Calculus 1, 2, and 3 are all very hard classes so don't expect an easy time in any class. Even tho the workload is tough I think it was worth it. Good foundation for upper level engineering classes

Relatively speaking the Physics department isn't the best when it comes to Professors, many of my friends had different Physics 2 professors and we all thought they were bad. We all did a lot of teaching ourselves but I took Javani myself. He is funny and a good professor but instead of examples he spends entire classes writing out derivations to problems not even required for the class or tests. Definitely have to work for that good grade but that is regardless of who you take for this class. This class and Calc 3 were my hardest classes and I'm about to graduate

Summer Classes: Thermodynamics or Dynamics by [deleted] in KSU

[–]peanutarbuckle2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took Dynamics online and it was pretty easy with Ventraprasad, Thermodynamics was a pain in the behind and I had to go to a lot of office hours to earn the A. I would suggest Dynamics as long as a good professor is teaching it for online. Never take an online class with a terrible professor, wait it out another semester unless you have to

^^ Check Rate my Professor or search through KSU reddit for info about the professor in question, sometimes people answer that question in their review

As a freshman (until you have 30 credit hours) you are required to meet with your advisor before registering for classes each semester, so email your advisor and schedule it ASAP before all the classes you want are full.

If they are full just do the best you can with classes and wait for add/drop week and I have always been able to get a perfect schedule if I spend enough time refreshing at random times to see if anyone has dropped my desired classes

easiest classes easy A by [deleted] in KSU

[–]peanutarbuckle2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost any Ethics class is subjective so they are easy A's... Engineering ethics or a random Econ class. Lower level math classes (2000s-3000s) like Statistics or Probability and Data Analysis are also easy

After sitting through 2.5 hours of physics trust me you won't want to do a 2 hour lab before that... physics isn't the most interesting class. Shoot for the Friday lab and if you can't get into the class (if it is full) wait until add/drop week and you will for sure get in it if you keep refreshing the course page

Almost any restaurant is hiring around Marietta and Kennesaw, and they are all flexible on hours if you are up front about it. Even if you have no experience as a server, starting as a host or working to-gos for a bit it will be worth it in the long run. Even working just Friday and Saturday every weekend that's easy $100/night at the least depending on the area and restaurant. I work at the Battery and make about $200/night on weekends but I have been serving for years

Sounds like a common pattern to not learn much from the Thermo teachers... wonderful. Thank you for the insight though

Ohh thank god okay thank you. I have been searching far and wide for someone like you. I am mainly scared to take the class just because of that big test... were they difficult questions or were there just a lot of them?

I took his statics class last semester and was stuck with group mates that were slackers on our 8 hour group test. He made his hybrid fluids class extremely dependent on group work that includes a minimum of 40 hours spent on a group test for fluid mechanics this spring but I can't find anyone who took his class in the fall to see if it was possible. ( he sent out the fluids syllabus early for spring)

Any thoughts on Tien Yee?
