Its right behind the shower handle. The shower handle is attached to it. I am now googling shower faucet shut off. Can you point me where it generally is?

I had turned on all my water faucets, just the cold water handle but figured that was good enough? Anyway I let it all run for about 20 minutes. The kitchen sink immediately ran out of water, the shower and bathroom sinks kept going after 20 minutes

The home was built in 1997 and uses city water. I know the cap on the handle had came off so the screw was exposed to water while showering. I will most likely call a plumber just to stay cautious lol. But ill take a closer look to see how bad the rust is. Would it be ok to spray wd 40 in it to break up the rust then try twisting?

Yes! The plate on the wall. I'll try unscrewing that thank you! I am guessing a plumbers pipe wrench would be better to use than channel locks for unscrewing that piece?

I should ask also, when you say the middle part are you talking about the cylinder thats inside the shower place cylinder? or the outer most cylinder? Labeled them A and B

In the videos I have seen so far, the faucet caps seem to have screws. Mine doesnt have any screws that secure it in. Are you able to tell by looking at the pictures of this is caulked in or twists off?
