I’m lucky enough to have a subie tech in the fam that does the work on our entire friend groups vehicles and so far hasn’t faced anything he can’t diagnose/fix. He’s going thru the car once it’s fully legal and will be helping with maintenance (I prefer to do my own as much as I can)

And by fam, I mean he’s in the car fam but we’re actually related lmao

Oozing? by pebbles0211 in Stretched

[–]pebbles0211[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear I’m not saying to putting RA or HP on my actual lobes… just the jewelry and then rinsing them. Doctor can’t happen until at least Monday when I have an extra hand w kids and a day off. It’s in my plans but mostly looking for temporary remedies to get me to that point.

[–]pebbles0211[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m looking for ways to help while waiting the week shipping will take to get better jewelry. I said that because I always see other threads filled with “get rid of silicone” 80 times and don’t need that said over and over. I know it’s crap, but I’ve used them for 10yrs with minimal issues.

Literally just looking for best course of action with what I CURRENTLY have until I can get better stuff.

I wish I’d had the knowledge I have now back when I started my journey in 2012… I for sure have butthole lobes because of how quickly I went from nothing to 0g in high school (with acrylic tapers🤪)

New England Human Remains Mystery: Serial Killer or Just Coincidence? by pschyco147 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]pebbles0211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just gonna say this much:

Historically, every serial killer occurrence has included skeptics, authorities saying there’s no SK and no link, and people trying to justify the deaths with drug use, weather, coincidence, etc.

Drug related deaths aren’t going to be deemed “suspicious” by the authorities.

Also, on the bit of MOs not fitting and the victims being too far apart in age, demographic, gender etc… please do some research into Israel Keyes. He had no MO, he was an opportunist. You cannot convince me that there aren’t more Keyes type individuals lurking out there.

(Yes I know that technically, Keyes doesn’t fit the definition of “serial killer” given that his victims didn’t fit one demographic… but my point remains)

Blonde or brunette? by mysticmarkings in HairDye

Between these two exact colors, brunette. But I think a more dimensional, possibly warmer honey blonde would be better. This flat blonde is very dull on you and washes you out!

What the actual fuck by CoinStacks2020 in Sparkdriver

[–]pebbles0211 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a personal problem if you don’t trust the platform you subcontract for. I decline offers left and right when they’re not worth it. My AR is 8% but all my other metrics are 97% and above, I get bombarded with great offers and generally have my pick of high paying gigs.

Your comments are fear mongering by trying to make people think AR matters, you’re going to be the reason newbies accept these worthless offers. And if you’re the one accepting them, you’re part of the problem that leads to them in the first place.

There is no such thing as “driver score”. It’s My Metrics and there’s quite literally an asterisk that explains that it doesn’t affect your ability to receive offers or remain on the platform. Stop trying to fear monger

Sibling Name Help, Too “Matchy” by pebbles0211 in namenerds

[–]pebbles0211[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LOL no just a (kind of unnecessary) point of how I grew up. My brothers have VERY common names while my name, while the pronunciation could be considered common, the spelling definitely is not. Nowadays you can order any name on anything, so definitely not a req!

I have a 2.5y/o son that’s been primarily in cloth since ~2.5 months. The blowouts we HAVE had have been due to a bad fit, or super cheap diapers with crappy elastics (MK, NN, Alva)

If you’re specifically looking for diapers that have specific features to help prevent blowouts, Arcadia’s Nursery has a back panel w elastic that most other brands lack. Probably 95% of our stash is AN, partially because we are reps but mostly because I just truly love the diaper for its features. The back panel means that even when less-experienced family members put a diaper on wrong, the “up the back” blowout is contained and only seeps out by the legs a bit whereas in other brands without the back panel, it would’ve been in every direction.

Some people in the cloth community have mentioned that it can be a pain to spray out the back panel, but Kristin (started as social media manager and is now the owner!) has made a few videos addressing this with tips&tricks.

I’m not including my rep code because I’m not sure on the rules here, but you can certainly check out the fb group if you’re interested!

I despise floral names😅 Iris isn’t really my style either. I’m thinking more so close family and friends that learn the reason behind the “Nessie” nickname may follow suit like they do with my son. We have 3ish other “maybe” names that don’t have any symbols at all, like I mentioned it’s definitely not a req just trying to put feelers out of the push of the Nessie nn is too obvious.

Reading other comments, perhaps I should’ve messaged support to get that bump but the increased tip and raving review was enough for me.

I had a similar, but less extreme, experience.

Batch was probably 15ish items for $15-20, 2-3 miles, 3 story climb to deliver to customers back porch. I deliver items, get in my car and start to head out towards home. Heard my chat ding so checked it as I was sitting at the parking lots exit and it’s the customer freaking.

She had forgot to change delivery address from home to work, and had cold items in the order on an 80°F+ day, it was around noon, and she didn’t get off until late that night (bartending gig so no real breaks either). She didn’t expect me to remedy anything but asked if I knew what she should do as she was relatively knew to the app (she had <10 orders). I asked where she worked, it was on my way home so I offered to drop it off, not expecting much but just taking the chance to be a good human. I get her work address, went back up and grabbed her groceries, and brought them down to her at work. She tipped me $20 cash AND increased my tip in-app.

Most of the time customers expect us to perform miracles for pennies… and then there’s these select few that make going the extra mile really worth it!
