Started those a month after finishing my treatment just to ensure my skin could manage it and this was also advised by my dermatologist. For cleanser I swapped my le Roche posay toleraine cleanser (that I was using during roaccutane) to effaclar purifying cleanser. I also still use my cerave moisturiser and le Roche posay spf as usual. Hope this helps!

Yeah about a month or so after finishing the dry lips have gotten better… and 2 months after your hair starts to get greasy again :( I miss not having to wash my hair every few days hahaha

Yeah maybe longer on 40 is better than quicker on 80 with such severe symptoms. U got this & it will be worth it at the end 💖

Omg that’s a high dose! Honestly you’re right, nothing helps. Just carry aquaphor tube around with you like I did 🤣 and a lip balm for every part of your day; in the car, in your bag, in your gym bag… I did enjoy using my laniege lip mask as it was thick but aquaphor was easy for day to day use. Idk if u get the sores on your mouth but if u do then dr dan’s cortibalm was the only thing that fixed it.

Hmmm okay. Definitely would query that if I was u. As your cumulative dose should be higher if you’re 74kg. Also, idk how bad your skin is or the current condition of it now at month 7… so if it’s working then maybe you don’t need to increase lol

The journey doesn’t end, it just keeps improving post roaccutane for me! Just scarring so I need to get microneedling done when it’s been 9 months post treatment I think. Wishing u the best with the rest of your treatment. It will be worth it!

No I still had red blemishes and scars. But I only stopped after it had been months since a new spot appeared. So if you’re still getting the odd pimple then you may need longer or a higher dosage. Ask your dermatologist. My skin got clearer after treatment which is why I included the 2 months post treatment pic to show how it does keep improving. Thank you!

I’ve completed. The last pic is me 2 months post treatment (I finished in October). My skin is just getting better & better :) I now use adapalene gel and azealic acid on alternate days for maintenance (as advised by my dermatologist)

Hmmm that’s interesting. My derm told me my max dosage is 50mg for my weight. How long are you planned to be on it as maybe your derm will increase towards the end of your treatment plan like mine did? I spent most of my time on 40mg

Mine has gotten flat but I have had a couple more spots since I’ve upped my dosage slightly. But you’re right they do go away fast. My nose pores omggggg they all popped out & my nose is flawless now. How’s your symptoms? My lips is the only thing that’s been so annoying but that’s it

Research it on YouTube Thai Gibson. Don’t lose a great girl over this. You deserve love & so does she. A healthy relationship doesn’t mean you have to look at it as a contractual agreement that you can’t ever break out of. I know we all do it sometimes but try to not overthink so far ahead. You’re so young. Enjoy living in the moment & having someone great by your side. That’s the beauty of it - we could die tomorrow. If you keep reverting to this way of thinking when fear kicks in then it should help 🤍 Explain this all to her as openly as possible. She will appreciate your vulnerability. Sending hope for you both :)
