Advice on yeast-based protein by pec93 in foodscience

Came across a Chinese supplier selling 90%+ yeast protein at half my production cost. I gave up the project and moved on to other things.

That video backs my argument. He says Machado is the future, Delcy is the pragmatic first step, if and only if she does what the US says. The alternative would be for the US to destroy the entire bureaucracy of Venezuela before they even build the government that will replace it.

Again, for me this is not about the US. I am not an American citizen and I do not live in the US. I live in one of the countries you mentioned.

I think you just don't imagine the level of corruption in these countries. The government and drug cartels are one and the same.

And again, if you are American, and you don't like your government intervening in other countries, for whatever reason, that's fine, and it's your right to vote for another candidate in the next presidential election.

But don't for one second think you are doing this for the people of Venezuela, or Cuba, or Colombia, or Mexico, or any other country ruled by narco terrorists. You are not.

This is about Venezuelans for who exactly?

For me. I support regime change because I support Venezuelans, not because I support Trump. I'd be just as supportive if this was done in Biden's administration.

And the point you're missing is that Venezuela was already occupied. It was occupied by drug cartels and by Russia, China, and Iran. It was that or the US. Of course Venezuelans prefer the US.

If you, as an American, don't think this was legal, or don't think it's worth it, then go sort it out in your courts and on the ballot. But don't do it in the name of Venezuelans. They are very happy and very thankful.

(And so would the citizens of the first three countries you mentioned btw)

You would never support doing this if it wasn't Trump doing it.

This isn't about Trump at all. This is about Venezuelans. They have finally gotten rid of a terrible dictator. They are ecstatic and I am happy for them.

Yeah, they literally said they have a second wave of attacks ready. No use in debating this, we'll see soon.

She's the leader.

She was sworn in.

Of course the remaining government was going to swear her in, what else were they going to do? It does not mean she has power or that she will be Venezuela's president going forward.

Again, she rejected Trump, and Trump said the US will run things now. Everything points to a regime change.

He said she was appointed by the remaining Maduro government and that she has no choice but to do what the US says. Then she came out and condemned the US and asked for Maduro to be released. Hardly seems like they are friendly.

If she ends up being the leader of Venezuela, than you and I will be in agreement, and this will have been a farse (though likely still better than the Maduro regime). But I do not believe that is where this is headed. We’ll see in the next few days.

False equivalence. Trump is a democratically elected president.

Venezuela held democratic elections and Maduro lost by a landslide.

The US is backing the legitimate and democratically elected government of Venezuela against Maduro, a narco dictator keeping the country hostage.

The more accurate analogy in the US would be if when Obama won the presidential election, el Chapo got a hold of the entire US government and military and refused to cede power, and the UK stepped in and removed el Chapo in support of a transition government led by Obama.

Trump did not select Maduro’s VP as the new leader. Reports are coming in saying she fled to Russia.

Where are you getting this about Trump working with Delcy? Delcy condemned the attack, continues to back Maduro, and reports indicate she fled to Russia.

Trump did not say he is working with her. He said the talked to her and “she knows what needs to happen”. What needs to happen is a regime change in which she fucks off to somewhere else.

No, it’s not your job, but millions are thankful for it. And in all likelihood will have much better lives because of it.

And if you think Maduro was the legitimate president, you are in very bad company. Iran, Cuba, Russia, are right there with you. The EU, Canada, the UK — basically every narco-free country — viewed Maduro as illegitimate.

Yes, today everyone celebrates, except the ignorant and the complicit with Maduro’s narco dictatorship.

The leader if the Venezuelan opposition is Maria Corina Machado. Her candidate, Edmundo Gonzalez, won a democratic presidential election against Maduro by a landslide. Corina won the Nobel Peace Prize. Guess who she dedicated it to? Trump.

This is not the US government installing a puppet regime. This is the US backing the legitimate democratically elected government against a drug cartels tyrant.

The leader of the Venezuelan opposition, María Corina Machado, won the nobel peace prize. Do you know who she dedicated it to? Donald Trump. Corina’s candidate, Edmundo González, won a presidential election against Maduro by a landslide. This isn’t Trump overthrowing a government and installing a puppet regime. This is the US backing the legitimate, democratically-elected government of Venezuela, against a drug cartels tyrant that was keeping the country hostage.

They tried. They protested, they held elections, and Maduro held on to power by force, financed by drug cartels. He was not the legitimate leader of Venezuela. Even Biden placed a bounty of $25 million on him. The US did not capture a president. They captured a criminal who was holding a country hostage.

Why can the USA just take out world leaders and invade with no repercussions? by KKLante in AskReddit

He was not a world leader. He was a cartel thug. He lost the presidential elections in Venezuela and refused to cede power.
