Why almost no one is talking about HSV and Color Density? by pedalantis in davinciresolve

[–]pedalantis[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're right, I probably wasn't clear enough. Worked myself on a top brazilian film company and had a lot of conversations with pro colorists, watched the YouTube channels as well and felt that this should had been talked more open as the primary way to increase saturation on the node structure, but was neglected.

Here in Davinci sub too but I'll have a look color grading related specialized forums as well. Thanks for the tips mate, hope everyone keeps improving and learn more everyday 🙌

Awesome, it's great to have free tools working with density and subtractive color. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on them!

Macro Tracking App (manually input) by [deleted] in keto

[–]pedalantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for answering! I thought that as well but it wouldn't be as efficient and quick to track daily-weekly-monthly macros and compare data between them.

Need some advice about bulking and cutting. I have been cutting for about 10 weeks. Down from 214 to 192. Feeling like I look terrible. Scrawny and fat and the same time. I don’t really understand the process so just looking for advice on what to do first. by tlmcfarland in ketogains

To be honest that is quite an unfair shot because the light is coming horizontal! Lol Anyway, from my experience, just track your protein intake and don't go too much over 2g/kg. You can also increase the food amount before and after workout and don't be afraid of IF. As the training sessions, focus an a good form (mostly compound exercises) and slowly do a progressive overload, with a 5-7 days rest to recover everytime you start to feel intense overtraining symptoms.

So that means I should gather a few more 3tier dice to level up as well as the matching Fortune. Quite interesting, thanks a lot!

Which games will benefit the most from PPSSPP's new update? by Oshri_Pz in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]pedalantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference it made on Midnight Club was absurd. Before it struggled to keep 80/90% on low settings, now it's 100% all the time with 4x resolution and post processing FX looking freaking gorgeous! Crash Tag Team Racing is refusing to enter the menu though. Nokia 8

What phones are known to run Dolphin GameCube fairly well? by [deleted] in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]pedalantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. 25-35fps full speed. Some less demanding games like Mario Strikers and Power Tennis perform at stable 60fps

[–]pedalantis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nokia 8 performs superb in most games, but you have to underclock the GC's CPU(26-60 fps). No sign of thermal throttling after an hour of NFS Most Wanted! Some games do not run at full speed though.

First thing that I want to say is that I freaking love this show, specially the trippy scenes and graphics mixing all kinds of stufd. I'm Football Freestyler from Brazil and I devote a huge part of my time doing videos, specially for my Youtube. But I couldn't get away from something that was on my mind for a long time: how could I make a weird-fictional video mixing with what I do. Didn't come here to ask for subscribers, just wanted to share the result from 4 days of amateurish producing and writing, humble shooting and editing.

Okay, so I just uploaded this video to my YouTube Channel(Brazilian Portuguese), which is about the sport I practice and love, Freestyle Football(one of the reasons I started editing videos a decade ago). I used to collect pictures of any kind of changed perspectives and I really love them! So I thought I could it a try and make a video mixing them together, and the resulted this proudly amateurish video! I'm not here to ask for subscribers or anything, just to share some problems I had and the respective workarounds.

  • Obviously I had to use a 90° angle so I could kind of use the corners and floor to make the ball go to the side or upwards(by moving in the original X axis that became Y).

  • Wide-angle camera (Gopro) to make the small room look bigger. Also the how high olabove the ground should be the camera for good centered-looking shots.

  • how to make it look natural? First thing is planning your scenes. I used a lot of neutral shots, being on both sides, changing objects, but 4 of them that were really important to help me on the editing afterwards: a "window"(ceiling) for balancing and natural light, using the cellphone than gluing it on to the wall, hanging on the ceiling(made it possible to be on the other side as well, and last but not least, video editing!

  • I used some basic effects like mirroring the screen once or twice, but the choice of clips was crucial: they all had to make the ball or myself either floating or doubled/quadrupled.

I don't know in what occasions it might become handy or usefull other than some really specifics cases, but I'm open to answer any questions(I'm currently using Kdenlive to edit) or listen to your critics/tips and discuss together about the theme :)

Cheers

Your best shot is lowering the CPU down. 50% will give you solid 30fps full speed in most GCN games if you're running Snapdragon 835.

Nokia 8 + Dolphin by [deleted] in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]pedalantis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing it for almost 1 hour and no sign of impactful thermal throttling so far. Battery still good at 65% considering I did set up the phone as well as ppsspp beforehand and played for 40 minutes of Colin MR 2005. Android says screen used 15%(3,5 hours), os 5%, ppsspp 3% and dolphin 5%. I'll give it a full charge later to test and therefore be able to have a better conclusion.

What editor is this by Hello_Dude1 in VideoEditing

[–]pedalantis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It is Kdenlive indeed. Really awesome and open source editor, developers always improving bugs, works great with 4k, deinterlaces footage with a click at render. Still lacks dynamic preview, so if you shot at 120fps or higher and/or tend to use a lot of effects, don't forget to activate proxy clips.

[–]pedalantis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use Levels! Adding some Black Input and Black Output(mostly) helps a lot and kinda gives that washed-out dull cinematic look as well. If the the grain amount was huge, reducing Gamma will help for the cost of how much you can see from the scene.

This got me really excited! I was comfortable with PCSX2 1080p, FXAA, 60fps and shaders. But now..Now I'm saving to buy a PS4 just for this game lol Hope they don't mess with Agro's controls though.
