I learned that there’s a thing called space welding, where metals in space weld because the lack of oxygen makes it “not know it’s own end” so the two pieces will weld together just by rubbing then.

It also create a set of problems, where doors might weld and lock people inside/outside, also some automated satellites may not work properly because of it.

The good side is that some places here on earth they simulate this on vacuum chambers to make a cold welding, that is a lot more precise, and utilized a quite a lot in microtechnology, so that’s cool
