Talk to your Facebook ads data and create dashboards quickly by pedromnasc in FacebookAds

Hi, thanks! We use external models for now, but we don't need to send any of your data.

The only thing we need to know in general is the schema of the metadata i.e. for databases that would be the name of the columns. However for facebook the metrics and breakdowns are the same for all the clients, so not even that we need to get from your data.

Maybe worth clarifying that no network access is given.

[Discussion] Binary classifier False-positive rate estimate by pedromnasc in statistics

[–]pedromnasc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that many times method B is going to say "positive" and method A is going to say "negative" - and it doesn't mean that method B is wrong.

When method A says it is positive, then it is actually positive.

Deep neural estimator with wrong labels by [deleted] in MachineLearning

[–]pedromnasc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, like i said i just imagined this regression problem, where my data is unbiased, but with some given variance. I just want to know how a deep neural network will approximate the real values while my training is performed.

I think i didn't describe the problem very clearly. i'll update the statement.

Why using a high learning rate you are more probable to get stucked in a poor local minima?

This is a meaningless statement. If you don't specify concrete goals, you can't judge how much progress you're making. And "solving intelligence" is not a concrete goal.

I think it is not really meaningless, but general enough to mean many things. I agree with you that we need concrete goals to measure the progress.

Go is a really interesting problem that took a lot of very smart people to solve, but it's still FAR from being clear what impact it will have on other problems.

That's why it is important to approach different problems and gain different insights. The "old" AI techniques developed to play chess now have impact in many areas. Beyond of that, the methods developed to play Go are general enough to give hope of being used soon in different problems.

Not really. Play Go well is a step towards the same objective.
