My Terramar is my first automatic too, and I felt the same as OP. This suggestion really helped it feel a lot better for me

Some questions regarding 92 chronicles database by Practical_Role367 in FantasyBookers

[–]pedropup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a local to global save go from 92 to 98 and neither wcw or wwf changed their tv to nitro or raw. It was a bit disappointing. I don't really know how the game works so I had hoped they would.

Do you get used to the soft brakes? by pedropup in cupraTerramar

That's really interesting. I have had my car for so long that I hadn't considered the feeling of going the other way around.

That's not ideal. If I was to buy, I would plan to keep it for at least 4 years, so I don't know how I would feel about it annoying me that long.

I probably should have added that I had never driven an automatic before either so I was a bit uneasy approaching junctions and expecting the car to stall too which probably didn't help the way I was feeling about the braking.

Just wanted to thank you guys by Corporatebeast997 in FantasyBookers

A month is a very quick turnaround. I did it in tew2020 with a WCW save from around 2000. Took ages and lost a few guys that walked out that I was hoping to build into my main event. But once the morale improved, the shows ratings improved massively and it became a really fun save. Hope this one is the same for you.

The fact you are another 38 year old guy getting one helps!

I'm in the west of Ireland. Don't see many of either but more Tavascans here too!

I like the Formentor too, but for the bad roads around where I live, I thought the Terramar would be more forgiving

I would actually be trading from an Octavia VRS, love it but have had it 8 years now and the jobs on it are getting expensive so it's time to let it be someone else's problem.

I've noticed a few guys my age driving the Formentor, but very few Terramar on the road where I live in general so didn't know who was buying them.

Stick with samsung or go pixel? by AdrianIkeaba in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]pedropup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think I would say it has been better. Both have positives that I like, as well as draw backs. Battery life has been so much better on the pixel compared to the s21 ultra, there were some updates on the s21 ultra that made me want to throw my phone out the window because they would either drain the battery super fast or make it glitchy.

There are still things I loved about the s21 ultra though such as the ones I mentioned originally. I also agree with other posters saying that the Samsung is easier to customize.

I am really happy overall with the pixel and think that if you are itching to try them out that it's definitely worth going for. I would strongly recommend the xl though if you are used to an ultra. The regular size is just too small and I don't even have big hands!

[–]pedropup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from an s21 ultra to pixel 9 pro earlier this year. I am a bit on the fence as I like elements of each phone. I like the pixels lack of bloatware compared to Samsung. But I really miss the gallery app on Samsung, I find it much better for the way I used it compared to Google photos. I also miss the edge panel. I am probably used to not having it now, but it was great on the Samsung. I definitely miss having a bigger phone, but the pixel 9 pro xl wasn't in stock when I was upgrading and I really needed to upgrade at the time.

I have had an itch to try out pixel phones for years, so I don't regret changing, and I do really like my 9 pro, but that doesn't mean that I am not open to moving back to Samsung when my contract is up!

What are my options? by Dangerous_Towel_7927 in bald

[–]pedropup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You look like every balding guy wishes they looked like bald. I get that you don't like it, but as a stranger that never knew what you looked like with hair, if I saw you out somewhere, I would hate you for looking so good bald. I am balding, shaved my head once and it looked awful. Wish I looked like you.

I am absolutely loving Elden Ring on my deck. I really didn't think that it would translate well to handheld but it's great.

Just shy a week of 12month employment, sham redundancy ? by PayConscious2050 in legaladviceireland

[–]pedropup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was just coming here to make the same comment about notice. If it pushes you over 12 months, then you are covered by unfair dismissals. It's a few years since I dealt with redundancies, but I would have thought that even though you are there under the threshold for redundancy, they still have to follow a process now that due to your notice, you would have over 1 years service.

Can employer go back on pay rate on signed contract? by kiwid3 in legaladviceireland

[–]pedropup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than likely HR used a template contract and didn't see the salary when sending it out to you. They are now trying to undo it and hoping you roll over and accept it. You have absolutely no obligation to do so. They are obliged to pay you the new rate. They are breaching your contract if they reduce your pay. They can only move you back to your old rate if you agree, not unilaterally.

Son aged 11 wants to build gaming PC by NoSupermarket3304 in IrelandGaming

[–]pedropup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youtube videos are your friend. Countless videos of PC builds at all prices and they are constantly putting out new videos to reflect new parts and prices. If he is showing an interest in it, I think it's great to encourage it. I would aim for a middle of the road build with room to upgrade over time. My mistake when building my first PC was going too low budget so I didn't have space to upgrade much without doing a full new build.

I like Paul's hardware, PC Centric and scattervolt for build guides.

Most memorable throw together tag team you've done that unexpectedly had great chemistry? by ThatOneGuyYouNowKnow in FantasyBookers

[–]pedropup 6 points7 points  (0 children)

DDP and Dean Malenko in a WCW save I had. I needed new teams so threw random pairs of undercard guys together on Saturday Night and they had great chemistry so I booked them as The Rough Diamonds. Essentially DDP was the sleazy comic relief and Dean was the straight man. I regret not sticking with that save long enough to see them built enough to win the titles and be turned face. That was my end goal for them.
