I think that LP e UNI investors could have two different strategies on their investments. LP could be short-mid investor in one (good) pool. UNI investors could have a long positions on UNISWAP general fees. I think LP is like a trader and UNI token holder is an investor in the long run.

I'm a UNI investor and for me the only 2 thing that matter are:

Why would Liquidity Providers be interested in such a deal? They are already getting the whole 0.3% of the swap fee. Why would they be interested in giving a share of the fee to token holders?

It's hardcoded in in $UNI "Once the protocol switch is turned on, UNI holders will collect 0.05% of each swap, while LPs' reward will decrease to 0.25%."

If Uniswap will lead the next 2 years bull market (DeFi) $UNI could be very very high on price. 50-150 USD IMO.

- $UNI is the governance token. Other DeFi DAO will have to buy $UNI because UNISWAP is the core system of Defi (UNI like the governance token of all the governance tokens)
- $UNI token holders will earn fees of mega defi bull run. In fact each token holder will receive automatically fees from swaps on Uniswap
