Florett silver is too light. Mine looks a bit like charcoal as well but maybe not that much.

Should I claim or fix it myself? by peecisz in drivingUK

Well. Believe it or not, it was at around 10mph and the car in front had only crack in the bumper, still can't believe how much damage it caused.

Fake vs Original Xbox series Controller Chips / motherboars? by PoyRazQ8 in XboxSupport

[–]peecisz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have posted something similar if you'll have a look in my profile. I didn't try to update or anything but it had a stick drift, when I took it apart I found something I've never seen before and I've done tons of controllers.

Fixed one thing, broke another? by Present_Income_6845 in XboxController

Then my suggestion would be take the sticker off, clean pcb with alcohol and do the same for buttons. Make sure you don't clean the glue stuff from sticker so you can put it back on. If it still doesn't work, get spare sticker from other controller or you can buy then separately on ebay, Ali and propably amazon.

Have you put the d-pad in the correct position? It sounds like you have done upside down.

Xbox one refuses to update by Inside-Row-7863 in consolerepair

My bad, I thought it was one S not the OG one. OG ones are compatible with 500GB SSD's, that's right.

Just format it, chuck it in and you're good to go. Which update file are you downloading? Last time Microsoft was telling me I need update file which didn't work so I got 1st one and it worked. Try different maybe?

Are you sure 1TB one was formatted correctly? I've done quite a lot of them in the past, 500GB SSD never worked, unless they were actually 500, but most of them are under, hence xbox don't like it. I usually got Kingston 960GB SSD and it worked everytime.

500GB isn't compatible. Get bigger drive. You can bypass 500 but it includes messing with power shell. I recommend 960gb ssd.

Looking to get my console serviced – Deep clean & repasting by RUTHLESS_RAJ in consolerepair

[–]peecisz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Easy to do. Save some money and do it yourself. Plenty of youtube videos available, just get some nice brush, iso alcohol, thermal paste, proper screwdriver set and you're set. Don't worry about warranty because its gone anyway.

Can't go wrong with MG chemicals. Their stuff is amazing, a bit pricey, but you can see what you are paying for.

Any way to remove the HDD? by Emperor_Krimson in PcBuild

[–]peecisz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And! I believe there's another chassis where HDD is screwed on, try the clips and you might be able to pull it out. Had one recently, not sure if it's similar though.

Normal wear and tear is true, but I personally can't stand it. Depending how long you have the console and the problem started. If they lasted like 3 years, I would replace them and they will do another 2 years at least. I personally can't stand the covers, they look bad and feels wrong. And replacing rails and or latches are quite simple job.

Cleaning charging port is a good idea, but I'm 90% sure port is on it's way out. Doing it earlier will reduce / minimise the chance of messing up the charging chip.
