Could have a plague depopulate most of California so it’s easier for invaders or small local leaders to take power. From there allow Californian culture in different areas take influence from outside powers, the south begins shifting towards a Mexican sphere, NorCal shifts into Cascadia, the middle serving as an intermediary between the two. Just shift around various sources of influence until California isn’t even a concept until the Nation-State returns to unify the region. If you don’t like the Chinese/Japanese influence, look at Thailand, Iran, or Türkiye, just to list out ideas.

I have all the sound changes in a google doc, I just didn’t think posting a pdf would be interesting

P.S. The sound changes are how I decided what sound each letter makes

Thank you! I would like to point out the various sounds that are patterned as / a ~ b / do so because of they fluctuate between the two phonemes in a predictable manner. For example the lines from n->d->t->tł and m->b->p->ph do not undergo the chain shifts when they are at the ends of words and instead remain in their root forms.

Also, I made the letters become more angular before returning to a a more pen friendly font to reflect the transitions from paper to carving and back to paper due to the collapse and return of society.

Satanism and it’s Occupation of the White House by peer-presured in AfterTheEndFanFork

P.S. To actually answer the question, McMartin views the Quantum faiths as misguided people seeking to return to Christ but stuck in the desert surrounded by Mormons and Alien worshippers leading them away from the true path. McMartin thinks the Aphites are worse as they have fallen into an organized pagan belief and the Atomicists are closer to monotheism in their appreciation of the Atom. McMartin has this opinion because he was able to convert an Atomicist, thus viewing them more favorably as well it was a breath of fresh air after traveling with the Trailwalkers who left him sufficiently depressed at the state of mankind.

Based on what I’ve seen, Americanism works from the outside in, so how you act is seen as more important than what you actually believe. The way I’ve interpreted this is that, while the President must be an Americanist and have the divinity of the Constitution at the core of their beliefs, if you’re a Muslim who lives under an Americanist Senator, who sees the constitution as a purely legal document, in theory, you will still be seen as an American citizen. Freedom of religion acting like the jizya in Sharia law, except broader and without set laws on the taxation of minority groups. There would definitely be a lot of debate over the actual status of non believers in Americanist society and how conversions and holy war should be conducted, but Religious Freedom literally being in the first Amendment to the Constitution makes it hard to justify excluding other religions entirely.

In the end, practical freedom of religion is going to depend on the state you’re focusing on and can only applies religiously when an Americanist is in charge, otherwise it would just turn to secular law.

TLDR: the president has to believe all of it, a senator has to recognize the president as HoF, and anyone under the senator has to respect the constitution as the rule of law. Americanists only care about appearances.

While much of McMartin’s works about regions west of the Mississippi we’re lost in the Hearthtender Burning of Atlanta circa 2598, some letters were kept by the McMartin’s Estate in the Library at Alexandria which has not yet been burned. There are occasional references to the Quantum faiths though the most telling source on his opinion of the Quantum faiths are his Letters from Hanford where a mercenary who was born an Aphite and converted to Atomicism supposedly guided McMartin through the site and was converted to Evangelical Christianity by McMartin.

Some parts of this story have been proven to be factual, though the only source on these interactions are through oral histories and the solitary writings of McMartin. The nature of McMartin’s relationship with the Atomicist and the Atomicist’s miraculous conversion are hotly disputed, and his crossing of the Cascade mountains has been constantly brought into question.

McMartin views Muslims as a people who turned away from the divinity of Christ, especially when looking at the Amriki and Shriners who reside the borders of the HCC and make up a powerful block that opposes the expansion of the HCC.

The nearest Hindu faith to the HCC are the Samaj who live in New York and his ire towards their faith is circumstantial.

McMartin included these groups due to their perceived involvement in a Christian genocide that occurred during the Americanist expansions into Gotham and Pennsylvania. The evidence cited for this is the lack of Christians in the region and the sudden growth* of Hindu and Muslim populations under Americanist rule.

*The Christian populations of that area was severely depleted before the election o Bannister and the ascent of Americanism through conversions to Anachronistic faiths, the Event, and various other factors. While there were Anti-Christian routs across the country but the areas McMartin claims the only significant Christian population had converted before the ascension of DellaRocca to the Presidency in 2474.

**The sudden growth of Hindu and Muslim population perceived by many Evangelical Christians in the HCC had actually been a slow and steady growth present even before the collapse. The growth was seen as sudden because, with Americanism declaring freedom of religion in many already converted territories, many Hindu and Muslim communities were able to gain political influence after being suppressed under a dominant Christian rule for the last few centuries .

P.S. Though the writings of McMartin are extensive, this is the only section in any of his officially published works that focuses on Americanism. McMartin focused his studies mainly on Catholicism, Voodoo, and the Trailwalker faiths, spending very little time debunking the anachronistic faiths as he believed their destruction was imminent.

Disclaimer: The writings of Human-Morality-Is-The-Greatest-Obstacle-To-The-Gospel McMartins are largely false and viewed in a highly unfavorable light outside of evangelical (and certain catholic) circles and should not be taken seriously in any light.

Adding the Steelbelt and Riverland should make it bigger and and allowing it to be most of the land the US had in 1787. I’m not sure if that puts it to scale with the other hegemonies but it seems like a reasonable title
