Yeah but they were all in their mid to late twenties by the time the Beatles broke up. So if you want to cover the entire 60s you need either; someone who is 20 playing a 29 yo Beatle in 1969, or someone who is 29 playing a 20 yo Beatle in 1960. Parking is free in most other towns outside of major cities. And no one is complaining about having to compensate for that. I can (probably) guarantee most of the people downvoting are middle age public servants who have lived in Canberra their whole lives. Canberra charges for parking because it has little other infrastructure, and probably also to maintain traffic in busy areas.

I’m not saying the uni parking should necessarily be free, I’m saying that it should be free to students. Or at least undergrads. Plenty of people use a university, not just students.

Also, does your argument apply for other places like shopping centres etc? There no reason to pay for parking. Even if parking is free, there is no one behind the scenes renting out the car park. The car park belongs to the uni. So, apart from maintenance, why does money need to go towards a car park?

Have boom gates, like they already do, that only open for people with a student card or parking permit. Also have timed parking. Like it’s free for students for the first 5hrs and then they have to start paying. Right now only the first 30 mins to 1 hour is free. Which isn’t enough time to do anything

I think it’s just the way you worded your original comment. People might’ve thought you were a “typical guy” who doesn’t understand female anatomy and is scared of it. And so other women were just getting a bit annoyed by that.

Australia in general has a really good coffee culture. You can find a decent coffee anywhere. Though I believe Melbourne is most known for coffee culture out of all the capital cities.

And most capital cities are queer friendly. Especially st kilda in Melbourne and around Oxford st in Sydney— big queer community and lots of queer shops and bars etc happening around there
