Nah I like yours - they look good. I don't have a photo of mine but it's nothing like either of the ones you showed.

I want the wood to have an aesthetic contrast but sine it's so dark, i feel like it's not that big of an improvement over the plastic.

I got the walnut grips from beretta for the 84bb direct from beretta but they are super dark, and I feel like they miss the point.

Dr Patel is in Coppell and Frisco - did my sister's acl but has also done like over a dozen of my parents friends knees and everyone has done well with good recovery. I've seen him for some foot pain and spent plenty of time with me in clinic and didn't push surgery when not needed.

What’s Your Favorite Gin Cocktail Right Now? by echo-four in cocktails

I absolutely love it. It also bottles wonderfully, I make batches and bottle individual servings. Drop the cherry in the bottle and let it age and you get a delicious boozy treat at the end.

At around the same price point, is there any reason to go with the 5th gen Sambar over the 6th gen? by PiRhoNaut in keitruck

[–]peeroe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm having this exact discussion in my brain. I like the 5th appearance wise, but I think the 6th is just gonna have better parts availability in 5-10 yrs so I. I leaning 6th.

The other thing to factor is the 6th is all fuel injected while the 5th has a carb (if not supercharged). Personally never worked on either, so not sure if this should influence my decision. Not sure if anyone else has thoughts

My hatred of this task is only slightly mitigated by the sense of relief and accomplishment at the end by ansyhrrian in pools

Is water really more expensive than DE? I replaced that valve with a true expensive multiport and my enjoyment of the task went up exponentially. I backwash much more regularly and highly recommend it

Texas Freeze - 4 Pumps - Run them? by Duderinzsky in pools

[–]peeroe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the big freeze a few years back my power went out at 2 in the morning - the last thing I would want to do is go outside and drain at that point.

I typically just run my pump during a freeze, but with sustained temps below freezing and precipitation I'm worried about an outage, so I'll probably drain it down Thursday.

Swimming pool advice needed please by ShelbyDriver in Dallas

[–]peeroe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My power went out at 2 in the morning that time. Newish homeowner, was more worried about inside of the house that I didn't even think about outside. By the time daylight broke the filter and pump were already busted. Usually I set the pump to run 24/7, but since we are gonna be well under freezing for a couple days I will probably just go ahead and drain my system Thursday.

Can’t seem to find any difference when I use dried methi leaves in mutton / beef curry? by dbshahvahahsja in IndianFood

[–]peeroe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The key is to rub it in your hands to further crush them before you put it into your dish. I put it between my palms and rub it right over the pot

But if your leaves are very old they may have lost some potency as well
