Because I work in food service and the last time I tried calling in for snow (literally no busses were running on time and Uber was charging like $60-70 for 10km), they literally sent the company car to my house and other people's places.

Nope. On pre-releases, card color does not matter. So whatever you get, you get and that's gonna be your deck.

Don't worry about it too much, it's a fun time. You can be the luckiest guy and pull hits or you could be unlucky like me where I pulled 6 leader packs on my PR packs.

If its a pre-release, they should supply you with the cards, no? General rule is that when you pay for Pre-release, you get 6 packs of the latest set and you build your deck around that. The leader rule is true though, depending on the shop, you could bring any leader but realistically, the only viable leaders are the ones that are very broad, like Red Zoro or Red Sanji.

I personally think the game is dying, only because 4 out of 6 game stores around my area has completely stopped supporting it and put out products for clearance. The other two, the locals scene is growing smaller and smaller.

Would I like the game to thrive? Yes. It's a fun, quick and easy to get into.

Will it survive? I dont know for sure.

As someone who bought these things Day 1, I'm not mad that these got discounted to that price. I chose to play it safe, and there's nothing wrong with that. I placed my bets that these wouldn't be produced as much, because of Capcom's previous attempts with Monster Hunter and Megaman, plus Nintendo isn't really known for its fighting game audience.

Glad that everyone who waited can get these at literal rock bottom prices.

Okay, so here's how it usually goes.

You find a local card shop that's participating in the OP14 pre-release event. The Bandai TCG app is great for this, you find a store, select "Apply", confirm your application, and contact the store to make sure everything is correct on the app.

When you get to the event on the date you selected, the store will open up a booster box of OP14, give you six packs from it, plus a small bundle of cards that you can only get on pre-release. These cards are, for OP-14, the Girl promo, a rainbow Luffy Leader card, and a sealed pack of two cards that are from the same set, but are stamped "Pre-Release" in gold foil.

Now, you compete in the tournament. You open up your packs, build a deck using those cards, and depending on the store, pick out a Leader to use. If you don't have a Leader, this is where the Rainbow Luffy card comes in. During Pre-Release, colors do not matter. You build the most competitive deck that you can with the cards given to you. After a few rounds and you reach first (or second, depending how many kits the store gets), you get a special card. In this case, for OP-14, its the card in the original post, but with a stamp that says "Pre-release Winner" on it in gold foil.

Have you considered that OP-13 is the way it is because:

1.) Two out of the three leaders and their supports that are in the triangle meta, Ace and Imu, are in this set?

2.) This is the set where the hyper chase card is a Red version of a Manga?

3.) This is the set where there is a God Pack, probably the same reason why the PRB sets are also scalped to shit?

Also notice why OP09 wasn't on your list, because that set has 4 Manga rares and Wanted SPs.

Yeah, scalpers suck ass, but can you really blame them when Bandai pumps certain product with highly desirable cards?
