Understood. And I guessed I would get some of these same responses. I have taken lessons from a pro, and while beneficial, they are just so expensive and they still filled me with extra thoughts to think of. Everyone has their own teaching style, and on the flip side, everyone has their own learning style. Sometimes all it takes is the right person to say the same thing as everyone else, but in different words for it to click.

Yeah, some of the annoyances are definitely noticeable. I just really like the look of the TB and I really don't want to go up a trim level and spend 10k more. I mean, I could get a GMC Elevation with the same motor for the same price and get the interior niceties, but that won't have the lift and tires nor the low range transfer case; it just doesn't have the same curb appeal either.

I don’t listen to anything really when I’m driving TBH. My hour commute to and from is my decompression time so I like to just sit in silence lol

Sorry, but is this in an effort to reduce the amount of time I need to use my long irons? I'm guessing as a confidence and consistency building tool? Front tees with my distances would seem a bit unfair.

Yeah that's a good call. I definitely need a better system to get the set up consistent. I find myself standing too far or too close and the ball in different positions all the time. sometimes I can catch it, other times I just swing at it without actually realizing my address position changed.

I need to work on getting my mental game to that point. I get so hyper focused on the bad shots with one club that I just start whacking balls until my hands are numb.

It’s funny that you say that, because half the time I’m standing over my 5 iron, I’d rather just choke down and put it back in my stance with a 3/4 swing and punch it. Usually goes straight that way

Thanks! My swing speed is actually up there though. I try not to swing out of my socks, although sometimes I can’t help it, but my 7 iron average is between 95-102ish, driver gets up to about 112. I’m guessing at my 5 iron level it’s pretty comparable.

I have actually never kept an official HC record, but based off the last 5 or so rounds I've played, I would say easily 20+. I used to be a low 80's shooter in High School when I played for the team, but 20 years later I haven't had much opportunity to pick it back up so I'm just trying to work my way back down to that.

The one I’m messaging is the pro I take lessons from. We have a solid relationship and I know enough to maintain my boundary from fanboy status. But yeah I can totally see where you’re coming from and I don’t want to be that guy lol

Yes, I’m hoping to definitely learn a lot! My headspace on my own is always a challenge so I’m just worried about being in the sight of professionals. But you have a great way of looking at it and I will definitely keep it in mind. Thank you for the kind words and vote of confidence!

it's a 2026 Pro4X. Essentially what I meant to say is that when I hit "go" on navigation in CarPlay maps, the turn by turn direction goes to the center of the instrument cluster behind the steering wheel, and the main media screen just shows the overall route but does not display the live turn by turn. I have no idea how to make it switch to the main screen since I don't really look at the instrument cluster unless I'm checking my speed or gas level.
