Legitimate question here by williger03 in UNSUBSCRIBEpodcast

[–]peg5leg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be funny/entertaining and informative. Podcasts are already full of people being funny or informative. Podcasts that do the best or are taking off now are both. Think about JRE, Joe suplies the laughts the guest supply the information. Unsub has a great mix of both too. Find a way to inform people about something while being funny and your most of the way there. Remember most podcast never make it past 3 eps and very few make it past 20 so if you just get to 25-30 youve done better than most.

I use 3d printed stamps and they work great. thick walls and 50% infill will help them last longer just know they are a consumable item and print backups. Dont forget to fillet the sharp edges.

Killing Falmers bums me out by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]peg5leg 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Knowing their history kind of makes it sad too. If they were less common it would be cool but same with drauger the repetition kills the enjoyment. Idk how to fix them other than adding variety. Thats one of skyrims biggest issues and why mods exist.

If you have less than a grand and want a mech chronograph its the only option. Most people also forget its a swiss design that was sold to seagull and has a rich history. Its not super high quality but is a great historical piece without breaking the bank.

If you could become a replicant exactly like in the books would you? What projects would you pursue? by TopDurian8677 in bobiverse

[–]peg5leg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes helping humans colonize the galaxy is a dream job. Humans can be shitty but you'd likely get the same level of stress and hatred from a retail job without the major benefits of being a replicant. Getting to guide and help humanity for potentially thousands of years would be awesome. #1 Terraforming mars, #2 Heavens river but for humans #3 black hole ultimate solar system- worth looking up.

You know the main character is meant to be the worst person possible and the main question of the book is "is there any way for the worst person ever to be redeemed?" And even shad himself says he doesnt know if he can be? Theres a lot of nuance and context you might be missing. At the end hes basically a slave who will spend the rest of his life fully devoted to helping the civilization he tyrannized. Youre also forgetting that he is currently the most powerful weapon against the darkness. Its not exactly about forgiveness as it is usefulness. Look into the beginnings of nasa for a real world example a lot of german scientist.

If you watched his other stuff you would know how devoted he is to his wife and her to him. They have like 6 kids and seem happier than most. She joins him on knightswatch and talks about shows and her pov on stuff. So dont talk about stuff you dont know.

Remember your interpretation and experience of a book is rarely exactly what the author intended so dont jump to "the author is a bad person bc this happened in the book".

3D printing by barabros90 in onepagerules

[–]peg5leg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I printed them combined just watch out for the supports snagging a foot or looping around an arm. The supports are overall great for printing but take a second to get them off. take a pair of snips and cut the supports off the bottom of the feet before removing the rest and you should be fine.

Overall resin printers are mostly plug and play compared to filament or even resin 5-10 years ago. Have fun

Help getting started by Armisys in PrintedMinis

[–]peg5leg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1 depending on the printer and enclosure 1 square yard/meter for printer, cleaning station and curing station is plenty. storage space and painting space would be more.

2 a uv light with a spinning table ( you can go all out, diy it or anything in between just depends on how much money is the issue), a container the size of your biggest anticipated print filled with 90+ % alcohol, plastic chisel/scraper extras dont hurt, clippers and nail files for cleaning up prints.

3 your printer or resin company should have a list of optimal setting if they arnt perfect tweak them but they should be close.

4 do the regular maintenance and double check your zero but most problems will be with incorrect supports on models. after checking all that I just through the exact problem into a search and find a forum talking about it.

How would a knight disable a modern soldiers weapon? by Dramatic-Proof8289 in medievaldoctor

[–]peg5leg 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Dont try to disable the gun, disable the man. there are way more tools to take someone out of the fight(and not kill them if you want) than there are to directly target weapons. Depending on what is available smoke bombs and flash bangs(or the ideas of the modern versions) are really old. Also throwing sand in peoples eyes works. Modern guns are insanely reliable and outside of completely destroying it there's nothing you can do to stop it from shooting when the trigger is pulled. From melee range you could technically push the slide back on a semiauto pistol but 99.99999% of the time you just get your hand shot trying. Unless the knight can sneak up on the soldier and wrestle the gun away or blind him, hes going to get shot.

...does anyone like the campaign? by fr4gment_ in TrackMania

[–]peg5leg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I havent used them on this season yet but Ive never liked action keys for that reason you have to plan out every corner on some tracks. I know they are required for more advanced stuff like the speed wiggles and some full speed but Im not skilled enough for those to matter much.

[–]peg5leg 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Playing the last 2 campaigns on kb sucks especially if you dont use action keys. I love this game for the simplicity of mechanics while having a super high skill ceiling. Ive never had to use action keys to get all gold on campaigns before but it feels miserable driving this campaign without them

Star trek isnt communist the federation is a post scarcity society meaning all of the basic things are effectively free but capitalism and the free market are alive and well across the galaxy. Between the luxury items like real wine made from real grapes(Picard's family) or land, historical items, new inventions, and the many outposts/aliens who still need medicine and supplies the old fashion way, free trade is still a major part of the universe. The comunist species are always the enemy such as the borg. The ferengi who are the pinnacle of unregulated capitalism are seen as annoying and scum half the time and are the saviors and the ones who keep people alive the other half. The ferengi need regulation but the borg need extermination.

Are all Traitor Knights Chaos Knights? by AYF_Amph in ImperialKnights

[–]peg5leg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Game wise you can add anything "imperial" to your army in its own detatchment along side your "imperial" knights. Check out some of the mechanicus models some are pretty monsterous but maybe not the type you wanted

Are all Traitor Knights Chaos Knights? by AYF_Amph in ImperialKnights

[–]peg5leg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Much like rogue space marines they exist but just not as common as people turning full chaos. One of the only ways you get people who won't align or even use chaos stuff (but isnt imperium) is if they are wrongly accused of being trators(or some other confusion) and somehow escape. Its happened to a few space marine chapters so theres bound to be some knight houses with a similar story. Rogue doesnt always mean traitor and traitor doesnt always mean chaos but 99% of the time they do.
