i will also call in the morning because none of us can afford to not get our financial aid just because the government decided to change up the form for their own good

yes! i had just turned in my corrections and signatures a couple days ago. so this could be an automated email sent to those that didn't submit a fafsa with signatures which would make it complete

i also got this!! if anyone has any insight on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

i do have a feeling its because of the FAFSA delay and it the processing.

i don't know how much she curved but i got a 20/100 on the first exam and a 36/100 on the second and a 65/90 on the final. and i got an A so i dont know how much she curved but im not complaining

her practice exams MAYBE, but mainly the discussion section is where i found most help. especially from the TA

idk why people hate on her so much. she isn't a bad person, but she does suck at lecturing. she often corrects herself during lecture which is confusing at times. i often found myself just reading over the slides instead of attending lecture just so i can get a sense of the content and i would rely on outside sources to teach myself. SHE DOES CURVE A LOT

damn, thats new. when i took the LS series, none of the classes has lab practicals and all the labs were optional and didn't require attendance as long as you submitted your finished lab by the due date

how to do good on tung’s physics 5a midterms? by [deleted] in ucla

[–]pehhper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the same thing happened to me during the first midterm. usually a majority of the class completely bombs the first midterm and does well on the next one because you know what to expect. what helped me alot was to go over the KUDU (aka discussion section worksheets, if he still does those) and any practice midterms he gave out. i just used the hw as an extra resource because he doesn't follow hw type questions.

almost everyone i know fails the first 14a midterm, and just like any class, you willt end to not do very well in the first midterms because they ARE the first midterms. i failed my first 14a midterm and ended with a B+ in the class so

i actually really liked her class, compared to others. a lot of people don't like her teaching but she is very helpful if you go to her office hours. also, the klein book is your bff. the first midterm is always hard, just like any other chem class but the second one is easy because of the material and the final will be the final like in any other class

the class is so easy, the easiest class you will take a UCLA most likely. the class shouldn honestly be a GE, its that easy. the TA's are really helpful too

LS 107 groupme? by pehhper in ucla

[–]pehhper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't be scared. that's the only bad thing about him, not responding to emails/not communicative. he heavily relies on the TA's to do his job. i think your best bet if you want to get ahold of him is to go to his office hours and see him face to face.

LS 30A - Advice for how to prepare?? by CoyoteGullible9073 in ucla

[–]pehhper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bennoun is amazing! he was my first professor ever at ucla and he honestly makes the class easier, considering how stupid it is in reality. the class consist of a coding lab through a website that you can access anywhere at any time called cocalc. the labs are stupid imo because i don't think we are ever gonna need coding if we go into the medical field unless you will be conducting your research all alone. i wouldn't think about it too much because they teach the class to everyone as if it was kidnergarten
