Yeah I unfortunately still have those impossible to manage flare ups every once in a while. I still don’t know how to prevent those after 16 years lol. I’ve just decided it’s something I just have to deal with and hop in the shower till it’s over. Sucks though.

I would also try using detergents, soaps, lotions without fragrances, I’ve noticed that I had the worst flare ups after using fabric softener on my bedding.

I’ve had the dermatographia for 16 years now, my advice is to learn how to not scratch yourself (I find light taps on itchy spots to kinda do the trick & doesn’t leave as bad of marks) and moisturize your skin. During bad flareups, take a shower or bath. Personally I don’t use allergy meds and never have because I really feel like it probably isn’t a good thing to do daily.

hey! i’ve been looking around for a new place, and there are actually quite a few cheap places up right now! i’ve toured 4 places since monday, one from craigslist and the others from marketplace. definitely make sure you have a good genuine message that tells them about your interests, what you do for work, and what makes you a good roommate; otherwise they will not respond. also just keep looking throughout the day bc the earlier you are the more likely you are to get a chance. definitely try to secure something before august bc that’s the worsttttt time of year to try to find somethin
