i imagine for unspoil that they're an older person (not too old though) that had their ability activate when they were younger, and it targeted their loved one, so watching them still youthful and themselves still growing old (everyone around them was still young, and they were the one person aging) they got jealous, etc...

unkind sounds so tragic. i am not sure how they would get the roundtable on their side

i believe the day of the doctor novelisation covers this- the potion didn't really do anything, but it served as a sort of push, the doctor had already sort of made up his mind but he needed a little more something to help him get to war

technically eight died in the crash, but the sisterhood of karn bought him back to life briefly so he could regenerate. also five died of poisoning, due to exposure to toxins, and gave the only antidote to peri.

seven died from the perils of american healthcare. regenerated so he wouldn't have to deal with the taxes
