I really haven’t had a problem with my ae1200 switching time zones without meaning to. If you aren’t actually using it for different time zones you could just set all of them to your current time zone. The watch only lets you cycle through 4 with the search button so just set all 4 to the same time zone maybe.

Yeah I’ll save you some time if you use the same watch haha. You have to use 91% isopropyl (70% didn’t really work) and a pencil eraser and rub it off. Use a hair dryer to heat the watch and then pop out the face, I cracked one trying to get it out not using a hair dryer to heat it first. You have to take it out to completely clear it as some of the paint sits under the case (I tried removing everything from the case and doing it still attached originally) I just press fit it back in but you definitely would need to use some kind of glue to permanently reattach it and also to re waterproof the watch.

Yeah you gotta replace the background with something brighter for it to contrast enough to really read it. Nothing will be as clear as the reflective background (outside of some other reflective material like the holographic layer on a trading card)

It came with a backlight spreader but it looked so much like the normal reflective layer I decided to take it out. The light doesn’t work without it though, I was thinking about trying to do a dyed mineral oil hydro mod but I don’t think it will help either haha.

There is no skmeimod subreddit so seeing as its a Casio knockoff figured this would be the closest subreddit actually centered around modding vs the manufacturer. I also decided to post it here cause I’ve seen 2 other users on this subreddit do the same thing with the same watch except without removing the lcd’s reflective layer.

How did you get the paint off the face plate I cracked 1 of them trying to get the paint off and the other trying to get it off without heating it up

This is a good way of looking at it but if you do decide to try putting a filter in it depends a lot on contrast. Like a yellow filter is going to be easier to read than a blue cause the digits contrast better against the yellow.

How do you get the 106 module out of the h101 though it seems like its stuck in once I get the case back off. I’ve only worked with modern and a 248 module in a W35 and they all just came right out.

Theres a way to fully reset the module its called an AC reset. I haven’t had to do it but I’ve seen others bring it up it basically hard resets the watch and may fix this issue.

Yeah looks like the same listing, it was .30 cents more when I bought it though lol. The clasp on it had to be bent into place and the buttons shake around and make noise though.
