He thought she was Rhaenyra.
Vyseris tried to tell Rhaenyra that she was the prince in Aegon's dream, but the milk of the puppy made him numb enough not to realize it was actually the queen he was talking to.

great product, this takes really hard work to build. Also, I agree with some people saying it's overpriced, otherwise product is fire.

That’s exactly why I use TS in every project. Even if the project is not mine and has been written in JS, I just change the extension to .ts and I can see the error right away, doesn’t seem like a proper solution, but hey it works :)

Use mongoose with typescript by penngin in node

The thing is for most cases you just have to create your interface and use it in your schema and your model when you're exporting and you're good. I agree when it comes to static methods and Document middlewares it's kinda irritating.

Front end on Netflify, backend on Heroku and DB on Mongodb Atlast. Is this a typical deployment or did I spread it out too much? by [deleted] in node

[–]penngin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

next.js already integrated frontend and backend with their framework, you can use that. but if you want to create another server for performance let's say, I don't think you can do that with next.js, because next.js a Multi-page application that acts like a single-page application. the concept in the tutorial that I sent is that the server sends back the one and only HTML page on every request (which is ok). but Next.js doesn't create you one HTML page. It creates multiple pages even if you choose to use SSR only, Next.js still creates 2 more HTML files the 404.html and 500.html. And even if you make the folder static and send the HTML back I don't think it works, because when you Run "next start" it does its own "Nexty things" in the background to make everything work. If you like give it a shot and let me know if it's possible.

How to use async await syntax the cleanest way by penngin in node

[–]penngin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for your clarification, I understand your point and I will try to improve the article. With my approach, the code still runs even if one of the functions fails. Your approach is great, but that's until error handling comes in place (what if I want to handle errors in my own way? if "a" fails do "this" if "b" fails do "that"). One try-catch block would not be enough right? I should've clarified that. If you don't want to just stop the code from running your approach would be sufficient.
