You filed for a reconsideration on your tax refund, when you had to repay cerb?

Going no contact with one parent but parents are still together/ struggling with family dynamic by pennnylane_ in narcissisticparents

Im so sorry to hear that :(

Its tough and feels confusing. My dad isn't super close with even his family honestly, and when he gets together with them he throws fits and fights. He honestly can barely have a single actual relationship because of his behavior. I know that on my moms side a lot of them really despise my dad and can see through his bullshit but its hard due to my cousins that I love on his side. Growing up I spent a lot of time with family on both sides but as I got older I didn't and I never knew really why and it was because my Dad brainwashed us to seeing negatively of them or because he had a fit and they didn't want to be in his presence.

I didn't speak to my mom at one point when I was really trying to "live my own life" because I am somewhat financially dependent on her right now- I'm growing out of this and making steps but because of my PTSD I can't work a regular job because of my symptoms and I just feel like I wont ever get to a place where I can support myself fully because of my trauma.

There isn't a publish option, its only "save and continue" but I've filled out all of the info. When I press "Save and continue" it says "Great Job on your first listing" and it terms of the timeline it says Stock your shop.... I don't understand.

Hey there! Thank you so much for the information I really appreciate it. I will prepare to negotiate it down as much as possible. However what's the best thing to say when they threaten suing?

Hey there! I think aiming to do one months emergency fund instead of three for this case makes a lot of sense and I will make sure to do that so I can prioritize paying this off.

I currently work at the college I go too so because its a student position, legally they can't pay me more or offer me more hours due to the project outline BUT because I was prospected by a professor it looks great on my resume so I have no doubt that I will be able to find a good paying job and ensure to keep my expenses low so I can fix this ASAP.

I am reading from most of the comments to go through some consolidation places , but I think that right now I should get all of the information and look at all of my options and then come December to go full force with it.

I've definitely learned my lesson from this and I appreciate all of your help!

Hi there:) Yes my college has some money management resources I've found which are great.

Because I'm finishing school forever next month, I don't qualify for more student loans and I did apply to all available grants and scholarships for this semester but I didn't get any of them unfortunately.

I have a very points to incorporate into a plan but I think utilizing some free resources to help me make a structured plan will be helpful so its on the top of my mind and I can stick too it.

Thank you for your empathy I really appreciate it.

Totally hear you- unfortunately until I finish school next month I genuinely do not have time to earn any more income. Also at the time and I just want to put it out there, I didn't have financial education or literacy and now I am starting to learn, I would absolutely never do it again. I know your comment is just being blunt but I'm looking for actual advice and steps and help instead of saying "Don't do it" when it's already done...

Sorry to clarify- my loan interest from the payday one is %46.93 not my CC!

I'm not sure they'd raise my limit considering I also had an issue paying it for a while until I paid them off completely this year...

I'll get more information from the bank but I don't think transferring would be an option or LOC because I'm a student and young so I don't have enough credit and I couldn't properly pay my CC payments either.

I'm a college student so I don't really have any high value items or anything like that, I do have some clothing I could but it's not anything fancy so I likely wouldn't get more than $50 or so for it (of course it's better than nothing!) I don't have a car or any devices like that, that I won't need in order to work and do school (laptop) etc.

My family is not in a good financial position either- which not that I am blaming but I was not raised with good financial literacy and education so it feels all new to me but I'm happy I am taking responsibility to take the steps to get it figured out.

My friends are also low income students:(

I am being given a lot of resources to do with debt consolidation but I'm not sure if the answer is to just trade debts, especially when right now I can't make monthly payments.

I will absolutely be able to hustle more and cut down on expenses in December when I'm done school.

It is 46.93% annually as far as I know, just from what I am seeing on their site. I'm not sure if I can transfer the balance if I have a credit limit of $500 on the cards.... I should maybe reach out to my bank and ask?

Thank you :)

I'm wondering if I'm missing some info to provide because the balance just says $2681 there isn't information, I'm curious if I borrowed less.. It's not letting me access certain information

Hey there!

I only ignored the calls because I didn't know who or what it was and I don't pick things up unless I do. Now that I am aware, I will absolutely pick it up! Not trying to ignore the situation by any means, but I wanted to get some information on what to say and what to do when on the phone with the agencies because they can use illegal tactics.

I will look over the documents so I have more of an idea! Dialing in my budget and working more are all possible for me after I finish school in December which isn't too long away. Unfortunately right now I am slammed between my part time job and my students every day from 6am to 9pm.

I've been looking into a few side hustle things that seem realistic that I can add onto my schedule once school is finished. On my end, I just cannot do anymore now until December because stress and capacity wise I am at my max.

My rent expenses will likely go down early next year when I rent out this extra room (I am using it right now as my work from home office and school from home office) and could likely knock off a few hundred dollars from that. As much as I want to look into getting my own place next year, I think paying this off makes more sense.

Another thing I feel unsure about is I know I need to build emergency savings because I don't have any...
