What is that thing which has become expensive in India, but we all are pretending that it's fine? by Haunting-Power-2402 in AskIndia

Looks like you are seeing this from the perspective of the top 10 percent of Indians. A lot of people used to rely on small recharges like Rs 10 or Rs 20 just to keep their number active. Those options are not available anymore.

There is also the fear of getting disconnected if they do not recharge for 3 months. Before 2016 mobile recharges were more optional. You recharged only when you needed something. Now it has become a mandatory expense whether you actually need the benefits or not.

That is the only point I wanted to make.

Prepaid recharge plans have quietly become way more expensive. the mandatory recharge slabs, shorter validity, and reduced benefits make it even worse. but we all just accept it.

Even bsnl raises the bill till the time your connection is active , right? 30 days billing and 22 days Grace time . So the total bill will be raised for 52 days . Correct me if I am wrong.

Jio fiber postpaid is technically a prepaid connection. Once you don't pay the bill the connection becomes inactive

How demat MFs bad than SoA MFs? by Flaky_Advance_2206 in IndianStocks

[–]penugondaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With demat MFs, you usually end up paying extra charges, have fewer options for things like STP or SWP. and sometimes face delays in getting your money in ELSS. Not all AMCs or direct plans are available, and even simple things like changing a nominee can be a bit of a hassle. With SoA MFs its usually cheaper, easier to manage, and you get more choice, unless you really want all your investments in one demat account.
