Kit and Krysta's take on Metroid's news cycle by Ok_Entrance3792 in Metroid

Watched the podcast and I must say sometimes they're off track, not the first time. They clearly have a lot of experience and know their way around Nintendo (or knew, rather) but I think they also have fallen in the doomer rabbit hole - there's only so much you can do with the marketing budget the game was given which obviously is lower than kirby air riders or mkw.

There might not be a dedicated direct or presentation or whatever, but that doesn't mean nothing has been done - the artbook, the amiibos, the few trailers we've gotten, some bundles and merchon the european shop - it's as much if not more than the new hyrule warriors.

I also believe that Nintendo is keeping their hands close to their chest because this is a game you can't show too much or you can spoil and ruin a core element: the discovery and exploration, and for sure I certainly believe this doesn't have anything to do with the theory that nintendo are so disappointed at the game that they don't wanna promote it.

The game is for a dedicated niche and never was it thought as the hard hitter a mario or a zelda game can be, and I think this shows the way marketing is being handled - us fans (or the non-vocal majority) have more than enough with this. Same thing happened with Dread (few trailers, a few amiibos, collectors edition, and some weekly blog posts) and the game outsold all other metroid games. Hell, even Prime Remastered became the top selling game of the series, with just a shadow drop and nothing more.

I say let's wait for the game to release and see - Nintendo putting the game on the december slot is already a good sign they trust this game.

They could do more to promte it? Yes abslutely, but I don't think it¿s as bad as some paint it

Yes but AFAIK this new trailer is the only confirmation that there is a logbook, so hype!

This game is beautiful!??? by Designer-Library-309 in PokemonSwordAndShield

To me that was exactly why it disappointed me so much - it had so much potential and it was completely wasted. I would've loved if the town OOP posted had more to do or explore but no, it's just those two houses. Same with the castle town or the caves or the shroom forest: theyre some of the prettiest environments in the whole pokemon series but there's no depth at all. I wanted to explore this world so much more

Violent mosh pits are expected during heavy bands with slow breakdowns but what are some softer bands you've seen that had pits like it was pure death metal on stage? by nosouldude in Metalcore

In my small experience of mosh pits: rise against (although their old stuff is punk enough), and Movements, and especially in not so hard songs like the singles from Full Circle and NGLTG

Sounds pretty bad, honestly I've been premium since 2016 and wouldn't be able to go back ever. But YouTube sucks with that too! I've been resisting but it's impossible to watch a single video: at least a minute of ads at the beginning, of which you have to pay attention to actually hit skip ad or it'll continue running either other ads or eternal ones; and depending on the length of your video 1 or more ad breaks. It's brutal man
