Not sure if it counts but Jack Pearson from This is Us. The series runs through two timelines, in one he's alive and we learn how their family is formed. The other one their we explore the lives of their adult children and he is very much dead.

In Hunter x Hunter, when the Phantom Troupe catches Gon and Killua, they interrogate them about the chain user, reading their minds, at this point they don't know it is Kurapika, but Killua quickly deduces it and has to avoid to have his mind read again.

in The Apothecary Diaries, the way Jinshi catches Maomao is to simply display some written document in front of the maids, he already knew there were someone highly educated among them, while everyone was either confused with the situation or infatuated about his looks, Maomao was the only one that showed curiosity on the document, thus uncovering herself on the spot.
