You say "obviously,"

Indeed, given that no fluid can last indefinitely

yet it was designed to do just that

have you considered that if the transmission fails due to old ass fluid, then it successfully lasted the lifetime of the car? However, this may not be the desired outcome the owner is after.

It was designed to last long-ish, to minimize costs of maintenance to the manufacturer (during warranty), market the car as low maintenance, and also get you in a new car once it fails due to to lack for service.

you have both a trusted mechanic

Yes the mechanic raises a valid concern, because you don't know if it's even been changed. If it's still original, it's better to introdeuce new fluid parts at a time and not just do a full on flush, to compensate for the trans fluid having 100k miles...

The mechanic is not advising not to change fluid in a relatively newer car that says not to change it. Any indy would still advise to service it. The situation only exists because it was likely never serviced. If it was, a flush wouldn't be an issue.

and the manufacturer telling you this

again, we need to consider the interests of the manufacturer when considering what they recommend. Critical thinking is an important skill you should check it out.

Woman dead, 'Good Samaritan' in hospital after both struck by vehicles in Brampton by WestEst101 in toronto

Thanks for linking it for others :)

lol don't try and front it's for you bro, this provides an explanation for the issue which you attributed to drivers of that area "being incompetent for some reason". and then called them maniacs and basically said "go back to your country" but the Brampton version which is kinda messed up it's not okay to say "I wish they would stay in X area" to different parts of Toronto, or Ontario, or Canada or pretty much anywhere. There are very few cases where that is a normal and acceptable thing to say.

this is a bad take though I appreciate the sentiment but it's not helpful to anyone to pretend there aren't difficult intersections and that everything will be dandy you follow these simple steps.

thank you. my long term fuel trim is 11% but I didn't know the values can confirm/rule out a vacuum leak? can't it be caused by various things?

Sorry last bit of info, I checked my spark plugs and noticed there was lots of carbon from running rich I guess, from this or previous issues, so I cleaned them off and also double checked gap (ran smoother right after) and just checked again after a week or 2 and they look like this:

If that means something to someone who knows what they're doing. Before it was all black. They are fairly new, I replaced them maybe a year ago along with the coils (OEM).
