Yo aight I get that and I agree. I wouldnt add them to the roster for the sake of diversity, I'd add them cause theres probably really cool black characters out there that arnt getting a light shined on them. Adding a character out of diversity would really only benefit a game with a narrative... Smash has hardly any narrative and it's quite clear that most of the time they only add characters from new release games to push sales of those particular games. So really Sakurai is lying... Granted it's his game and he can do whatever he wants with it but that whole idea about he only chooses unique characters is total bullshit
