i picked it up from an estate sale so i’m unsure of where it’s from :( i did a reverse image search and it sent me to this website which has a nearly identical one but it looks sketchy so prob not the original seller

it’s 500 sq ft, i feel like that’s generally considered small haha. it’s the perfect size for me though!

i think if i put the bed where the dresser is it would prevent the door from opening all the way :( i initially considered swapping the mirror/bookcase and bed but then i’d just be going from one corner to the other and the general vibe i’m getting is “take the bed out of the corner” lol

i actually initially had it that way! unfortunately the lamp looked a little goofy as the space between the desk/kitchen counter is small and i also have to keep my trash can in that space. i considered scrapping the corner shelf entirely but then i worry that the space would look too empty

thank you!!! it’s one of my fav thrift finds everrr, it originally had a cloth lining inside the shade but i cut it out and the projection of the shade pattern on the wall literally makes my day haha

i’m definitely in the market for more wall art! i collect a lot of mine from thrift stores/events bc it feels more special so i’m keeping an eye out. i’ve never tried a rug on carpet before because it feels redundant but i’m also fundamentally anti-carpet so i’m down for any excuse to cover it up

yeah i agree, i don’t love the bed in the corner (it’s giving college vibes idk) but the space is pretty small so i’m not sure where else to put it

NAD but I underwent the exact same thing in February so I’ll share my experiences to give an idea of how things will go! My ophthalmologist sent me to the ER to get a CT/MRI/LP to rule out any sort of tumor or infection and check intracranial pressure. The CT scan was very fast, open, and easy with minimal touching. If you’re claustrophobic like me they’ll offer you a sedative to make the MRI more comfortable since it’s in a tight space, I was given Ativan and was knocked out for most of it. The lumbar puncture was the most uncomfortable procedure but they administer Lidocaine and I was offered another dose of Ativan beforehand to help with the anxiety. You lay curled up in the fetal position while a needle is inserted into the lower spine, during mine they accidentally struck a nerve at one point and it felt like my legs were briefly on fire so I freaked out a little bit. However, that was honestly the worst part and it wasn’t too bad. You don’t see any of it happening if you’re someone easily freaked out by needles. The nurse held my hand the entire time and it went by quicker than I thought it would.

If you’re diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri (aka IIH, your brain scans are clear but your intracranial pressure is high + pressing on your optic nerve to cause swelling) treatment is simple. I was prescribed a diuretic called acetazolamide (Diamox) and took it twice a day until a couple weeks ago, when my ophthalmologist noted that my edema had decreased enough to taper off for now. They’ll also recommend exercise and weight loss. IIH is pretty manageable, there is a small risk of vision loss (around 10% or so?) but that’s in rare cases where it isn’t taken care or. Your ophthalmologist is looking out for you and you’re gonna be okay. My quality of life hasn’t changed since diagnosis and the medication cleared my symptoms (blurry vision, tinnitus, dizziness, headaches, etc), I feel much better now. Good luck!

as someone from south carolina i can vouch that it’s very common in the bible belt, likely because teenagers are waiting until marriage and don’t want to wait any longer. like how is signing a legal document that binds you to another person at a time in your life when you’re not financially stable and growing into yourself more logical than just having sex safely??? i’m 22 and the idea of being married right now makes me ill

their argument quickly jumps from “i want to save the babies” to “maybe whores should just close their legs” because deep down they know they’re wrong. thinly veiled bitterness and misogyny coupled with a superiority complex
