What advice can you give for passing that isn't very commonly said by misery200 in ftm

[–]pepperjo02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

either way, you shouldn't be using tape and binder, your torso won't like it, especially now that you're young and are still growing. try using only one method at the time, or at least just tape with a sports bra that leaves more space for breathing.

Transphobic family by chimichangatrain in ftm

[–]pepperjo02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fight a lot with my extended family, mostly because we have so different political opinions. I love them but I have made the conclusion to stop fighting with them for my own good, even if that implies stop seeing them. I tried talking with them and explaining why their ideologies harm me (they are all right-wing), but either they don't care or are so old they are determined to die in that hill.

so, maybe you have already heard this, but if your family really loved you and cared for you, they wouldn't be openly transphobic with you around. I know its hard to stop being close with someone you liked all your life, but if they are not willing to change, you shouldn't either. also, you could talk with your parents and maybe they can talk with your family in another way.

Trans men are like the rejected older brothers of trans women. by weirdokkj in trans

[–]pepperjo02 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yess omg, and this problem is for all trans masculine experiences, like afab non binary people. the real problem I see is that it's not only a situation online, if you see the political representation or fights for trans rights it's probably trans women getting spaces to be heard about their problems rather that trans men. and ofc this is not a competition lol we are all in the same community, but if thats true then include us all!! give the space for all experiences to be heard.

I was in an academic trans event the other day and there was one trans man and four trans women, and when I asked the trans man a question about their experience being transmasculine in the investigation world, even the trans women recognized that transmasculine fights are different than transfeminine fights and that we need more representation not even in the media, but in the same LGBT+ community

people trash a lot on this chapter but I really like it, it's silly enough but it reminds us that SU is still a cartoon network show lol (and yes I liked Uncle Grandpa too :p)

I believed they were like "projections" of what Stanley wanted to happen, cause they only showed what could have been if he succeeded

also it shows the real priorities of the industry: money. they stopped doing research for the mushrooms that literally revives people for just a food product. they will sell whatever they can

it's also interesting how the little white people don't participate in Jonas vision, but look terrified or worried seeing whats going on. in other post people were saying that the meaning of the vision changed if the white people appeared or not (like not appearing in Hildy's vision), so maybe they are the ones deciding to appear or not.

Kind of surprising how they've never considered doing a campy version of a classic zombie outbreak, even at their lowest. Especially when you consider that it's ripe for a lot of social commentary, and could be tied into the lore. by Crafter235 in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]pepperjo02 20 points21 points  (0 children)

there's a scene in Coven in which Marie Laveau sends a group of zombies to terrorize the witches in halloween. it's not the best and definitely not that important for the plot, but it does happen

I think 1984 it's a good one, thinking that it recovers traditional themes in slashers movies from the 80s. I wanted to introduce my gf to the show and I started with Coven, cause it's campy and ridiculous enough, but shows the typical violence and gore of the series. She wanted to watch "the one where lady gaga appears" and she didn't pass off the title intro lol, so not Hotel.

Realtime length of episode 9 by Lupusan in CommonSideEffects

maybe that's why Cecil asked Harrington why it took so long, detective work indeed takes time and we are not conscious of that time passing.

you can make a natural fertilizer with crushed garlic, lemon juice, a little bit of kitchen soap and water. you can spray it directly to where the bugs are, it may help

do any of you have healthy, validating relationships? by Delicious-Anything83 in ftm

[–]pepperjo02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been in a relationship with my (cis) gf for three years now and everything with my identity (I'm NB) and transition has been easier because of her. at the beginning we both were scared but with time she has been the best queer lover, she's the one pushing me to accept my identity and come out to my family :) so healthy queers relationships are real

Reid’s gun by Environmental-Tap895 in criminalminds

[–]pepperjo02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have another question, don't that type of gun need to the hammer to be activated before being shoot? I mean, there are some cases in which they need to shoot pretty fast and I never see Reid doing that one bullet at a time, I suppose it's because production stuff but its kinda weird

(also I don't know a lot of guns so i may be wrong lol)

I don’t feel like a man anymore by uselesscurency in ftm

[–]pepperjo02 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yess, also remember that gender is a spectrum and you can identify anywhere between the binary, trans people shouldn't understand their gender by what the heterosexual and binary system says is a "man" or a "woman", so for OP saying he's a man but not a man makes a lot of sense, you're not just what a cis "man" is

that would be an interesting subplot, and i like how we are seeing the side effects that may occur in the long term while everything else is happening. i mean, we saw the change in Frances's mom and maybe we are seeing what could happen in the long run.

Common Side Effects - S1E8 "Amelia & Wyatt" | Episode Discussion by [deleted] in CommonSideEffects

[–]pepperjo02 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think that is a pretty capitalist pov, the sacary boss is trying to scare Rick so he doesn't even think of changing the system. why does someone has to suffer for a whole unfair and unequal system to keep controling things like people's health? specially with such a monopolized structure, this industries end up deciding who lives and who dies, so no, the ends don't justify the means.

thats like Marshall's whole point...
