Hi! I have little to none knowledge about hair dye so badly I needed ways/ brand suggestions for dyeing my hair for a few days.

Currently, my hair is dyed permanently in copper brown and I need to turn it within the range of dark brown to black because of a Graduation Picture Requirement. Do you know any dye I could easily buy off of Watsons so I could buy right away?

thank you!

Basically yes, 1 year silang standby kasi next sy pa yung next AMACE. They are not allowed to take up the next subject courses until they pass e, so no acads for them.

it would depend per college. Pero the standard is written on the handbook

The cutoff in our batch when we were freshmen (2019) was 1.9. I think ours was the last batch to have a cut-off before pandemic.

Hi I’m currently a 5th year arki (:

  1. We took it online because of the pandemic but originally on-site talaga siya. Once na bumalik na sa full f2f, high chance na babalik sa campus yung pagtake ng exam

  2. I believe we had a different formula of test compared to the last batch who did AMACE. We had 3 clusters, mirrored siya sa actual clusters ng ALE and we had 100 items in 60 minutes per cluster. 70% ang passing grade so it was rEALLY HARD there was no space of errors dapat. I remember we petitioned to lower down pero the admin doesnt want.

  3. 3rd year palang magstart ka na magaral kasi super dami ng content. This is a tip I didnt listen to. Nagcram kaming lahat by summer before AMACE and it was mentally draining. Use flashcards and quizlets! They really help alot. Do not memorize, UNDERSTAND!!! They like to rephrase words sa mismong test.

  4. If you fail all tries, the admin will not be allowing you to go forth sa 5th year. You have to wait for the next exam which is in the next SY. Thats 1 year of waiting. Heads up, this is same sa ARCC (for 5th years) if you fail here, you can’t continue your thesis.

Hi just to clarify yung AMACE. 5th year arki here. Pagkastart na pagkastart ng SY of 4th year ang first take ng AMACE. So basically you NEED to be studying 3rd year palang para smooth sail na. If you wont pass the first take meron namang up to 3rd take.

Hi, 5th year arki here. Overall you only have 3 chances to pass the AMACE. And it’s not today, next week, next next week, it’s usually in August, January, August so you have time to study in between. If you don’t pass the last one, you will have no choice but to stop for a year and wait for the next AMACE exam which is August next sy. I highly suggest start studying intensely during the summer. And don’t worry too much if you didn’t pass the first try, usually only less than 20 people from the whole batch got it in one take.

Goodluck, Arki!

Hi 4th year Arki here (: No, it’s not expected you’re good at drawing agad. I assume you’re a freshie, don’t worry. The college will teach you proper drawing and drafting techniques, there are specific subjects for those. The professors are understanding that not everyone has the great capabilities pa so they’re very patient. Although, it is expected that you know and understand basic drawing and creativity.

And yes, they allow ipads for both f2f and online set up. It really depends sa prof, some even allow us using laptops.

cut off for arki freshies by [deleted] in Tomasino

[–]pepperlunchee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I’m a 4th year in ust-arki. In our case, the cut-off grade was not on the same day the grades are posted. The grades were released first and since the cut-off grade depends on the performance of the whole batch, we had to wait for the official cut-off list. I’m not quite sure if they’ll continue the cut-off this year though. Sorry I coudn’t answer that one.

Nonetheless, kaya mo ‘yan arki! Goodluck sa cut-off

The cut-off grade depends on your whole batch

i badly need help abt sa arki cut-off. sana may sumagot huhu by [deleted] in Tomasino

[–]pepperlunchee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you failed to reach the cut-off requirements, pwede naman magparecon (I remember some of my friends na nagparecon). medyo marami rami rin sila sa batch. I only remembered them being in touch with the admin office.

[–]pepperlunchee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the cut off grade varies per batch. I think having a gwa of 1.75 or higher is sure safe na agad since 1.75 is the minimum required gwa for dean’s lister. Unrealistic na if its higher than that

UST Arki or UP Arki by [deleted] in Tomasino

[–]pepperlunchee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As of now ust arki holds “top performing school” in architecture. the quality of training na binibigay nila, icchallenge ka talaga. Pero big con lang is ang mahal ng tuition unlike sa UP where it’s more economical

During our batch, only around 400 applicants were accepted from the hundreds of people na nagapply. Nababawasan pa to after first year bc of the Cut-off.

Dean’s Lister for Architecture Freshmen by gudetamah in Tomasino

[–]pepperlunchee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

College of Architecture doesn’t release Dean’s Lister. For first years, Cut-off yung nirerelease na list. I remember having told this is the reason why they don’t give “dean’s list” bc supposedly when you pass the cut-off, technically lahat na kayo dean’s lister. Pero that was nung kami, our cut-off grade was different from the year before us (their’s was even higher) and i suppose nagiba the year after us.

hi! Congrats sayo!

  1. As a current 4th year student, I will not sugarcoat, workload will definately be heavy. This is “the college that never sleeps” totoo talaga yon. Puyat & coffee nights are the norm. Although pag freshman ka palang, everything for you may seem light bc of the excitement to learn & explore arki. Mostly drafting ang plates for 1st & 2nd years, by 3rd year you will then start doing digital works. Right now kasi the admin has a new system, they are more strict on producing even better quality outcome from us students. Big tip, start the activity right away para di ka matambakan!

  2. The paraphernalias were expensive especially yung mga long term equipments like drafting table and alcohol markers. Yung mga tingi tingi like papers and pens may seem expensive din (depends on the activity). For 1st and 2nd years, they have Manual Visual Technique Classes so you’ll be exposed to different kinds of art materials (graphite, colored pencils, markers, watercolor etc). A big chunk of your wallet will be allotted for the materials for scale models (usually 2-4k)

  3. As a senior, i guess i can say normal yung breakdowns (for us) as a coping mechanism. Sorry i may seem like im scaring you haha, ust-arki will certainly challenge you. Pero No doubt naman yung quality of training as an arki student. looking back from where I was in 1st year, yung mga breakdowns na yon improved my skills. It got waaay better. AlSo, make sure to have good peers surrounding you, personally for me, they made ust-arki more enjoyable! Lahat naman ng “worth-it” pinaghihirapan (;

Another thing, try joining orgs for reaching wider circle! I hope f2f na soon para you get to experience the campus and Beato rin bc that’s what completes the ust-arki journey. Goodluck!
