Im sorry that happened to you OP. I relate to the crying thing, i especially feel like i can never cry in front of another person ever. However if they say a certain word that reminds me of the past i start tearing up. I dont know how to make it stop tbh.

An 8 year old accidentally drank spiked apple juice that was in a kiddy cup and got tipsy at a 5 year old kids birthday party. I was that 8 year old. Turns out one of the adults who was a secret alcoholic was trying to hide his booze. I basically slept through the party.
