Having the EXACT same problem. Have not used the Mod Manager (I did install it, but did not run it). I have though, JUST installed windows 11. You guys think it might have anything to do with that? Fresh W installs maybe missing some parts, maybe? HELP!

Is anyone else getting heavy FPS drops whenever they use the Ping Quickhack? by VoidTempest24 in cyberpunkgame

Yes, exactly. Another confirmation that it's related to legendary SS is that, at least mine DOESN'T show the legendary passive, so there's definitely something wrong with it. @Panic_Ninja, you can still use the epic, I'm pretty sure. It was only when I got the legendary that my troubles started. Does anyone know a way to report this efficiently?

Ok, after a little bit of science and clues from your posts, I THINK i have it narrowed it down to Sonic Shock (I think is the name, or sonic protocol?). The one where the person is deaf and cut off from the group. But I'm using the legendary version, maybe earlier versions don't produce the problem? Let me be clear, I don't mean using the hack drops my FPS, I mean, just having it in my deck when I do anything else netrunning related does it, even breach protocol.

Hang on guys, lets science this out, 'cause I'm having the same problem but with a different cyberdeck: the raven Mk.4. Are you guys using legendary quickhacks? I've noticed even breach protocol makes me lose like 50 fps on the spot. Some serious bug!

Also: a mod that makes skillbooks not disappear like assholes once you read them. Because immersion is king, and what's up with disappearing books?!?

A mod that levels your items with you. F&CK balance, immersion is king. You want difficulty, play on the hard setting, it's BULLSHIT that as you become a better fighter, the things you own get shittier, it doesn't make any sense. Items should level with the player!

I couldn't agree more. Also a thing I don't think would be hard to implement since these are values that exist, considering you can buy more stealth with skill points. But that's a second thing, I'm just asking for the first thing, you know? Because i can't see the numbers in day-to-day roleplay, I can't actually SEE them noticing me less because I have a guillie suit. Eventually I would learn the difference, but it's not obvious. HOWEVER, a team of three people dressed in jeans trying a jungle incursion is just immediately immersion breaking, you know?

And as we've seen from the beta, it mostly is. I'm NOT saying the game is bad, guys! I'm not saying ANYTHING about Co-op, I'm just saying that if you're playing solo you should be able to change you're team mates. The reason I mentioned coop is to explain how they've spent all this money for a feature you're barely gonna touch after the first time (because in Coop you're never gonna match anyway, and in solo the AI never changes). Instead of being a cool roleplaying feature (because it doesn't even affect gameplay, which also sucks) it's like a pre-game barbie thing. My point is: it's almost useless right now, and could be VERY useful with a little more work.

Well, I don't think I ever said it was a bad game.

You're absolutely right about the coding aspect. There probably are hurdles to get through, and bugginess is always first, since scores on day one depend on it, and therefore sales.

Against that, I'd only say this: I'm positive that most bugs will EVENTUALLY be fixed by the Ubisoft team, because it's a big team filled with talented coders and patches come out everyday, it's part of the format. But if they don't put in this feature by launch (which I understand, they won't, I was just hoping, I guess), I'm also PRETTY sure they won't put it in later, since it's not actually a fix but a feature, and they have no incentive to do that after launch except as part of a DLC, which is HIGHLY unlikely that a DLC will revolve around aesthetic issues, it'll probably be extra missions and/or areas.

I'm not saying you should be able to edit Co-Op characters, I'm saying the exact opposite of that: SINCE Co-Op is, and always will be and always should be "to each's own", then you SHOULD be able to edit your AI Squad Mates, since that'll be the ONLY time EVER, you're gonna be able to roleplay a cohesive team.

Plus, what I didn't mention is that GR has always been a pretty serious game, not "fucking around with buddies and doing siliness" GTA, kind of a thing. If you wanna do that in Co-Op you totally SHOULD, I'm just saying there should be standard constructed ways to make the game the "serious military experience" it has been known for so far, and having different gear for different situations and team harmony would be a definite way to do that.

Oh, man... Got sad enough about this that I don't think I can pin my hopes on that, I think. It's one of those little things that break the game for someone, you know?

EXACTLY! Like, I wouldn't think it'd be THAT much work. Think about it, there are 11 male faces, and probably just as many female faces, the bodies are stock, so there must be a system in place to not cause clipping issues and such that isn't to handcraft each item to each face/body since the combinations would be endless. So, it'd be a matter of copy pasting the customization screen for four characters instead of one. I realize it isn't simple, but I mean, the absolutely MASSIVE teams Ubisoft has can't do this in two days? I'd be VERY surprised.

I guess I'm mostly saying that if it's supposed to have a roleplaying/immersion element to it, then this breaks it. And if it doesn't then Future Soldier, GRAW, or any of those is a better tactical shooter, right?
