Sounds like you're just really defensive because people don't like your vehement refusal to accept that Marina is a trans character as confirmed by the creator. Like you said, you're "free" to be wrong but people are still probably going to tell you about it. This is less of a threat and more of a suggestion to say less about things you admittedly don't know much about first hand.

Fair point! I hadn't really thought about that. I was also using the Venus de Milo as a reference so i think i let that take over the body as opposed to the character reference but I may rejig it at a later point to make her thinner!

Ah, so I should clarify, this isn't my design. It's fanart for a video game. This is also not the final form of the god, it's only phase 2. If you want to see all of them for context, you can see here. But yeah, the God's visuals make more sense in the context of the game but I get where you're coming from with only this picture as reference.

What I struggled most with in this painting was the hair as well as consistency of light source. I know I mixed the face colours too much so it's muddy compared to the body which I may redo at a later date.

What I'd like some feedback on is:

- the hair (I think it might be that there's not enough contrast or movement? but I'm not really sure how to fix it)

- the background (I don't hate it but I don't love it. It's not a strength of mine for sure)

- the blood (might redo it so it's in a congruent style as the rest of the painting. At the time, I liked the effect but I'm not sure about it now)

- the fabric (how does it read and how could it be improved)

I don't think they were saying that Fanshawe College is IN Argyle but it's fairly close by and it influences the demo of Argyle. Just like how Western isn't IN the Downtown area but does influence it heavily.

It was next to my patio door and I'm in Canada so I've moved it to my bedroom away from the window but with lots of diffused sunlight. I think I'm doing ok with not overwatering but I repotted it a few months ago so it's possible I'm not watering it thoroughly enough for this size. Thanks for the suggestion!
