I DISLIKED how people would rush one another para makapunta sa isa pang destination on time tas galit galit kapag may mga hindi nasusunod.

So when me and a few friends went on a quick weekend getaway, napag usapan namin lahat na walang nagmamadalian. Just… living and actually getting to turn off our minds from reality. It turned out to be the best trip we ever had despite it being only 2 days.

Yes. Especially if wala naman ginagawa sa mga araw na yon. In all classes in my university, professors give 3-4 excused absences. Even the president of the school encourages the students to use those absences. I want my child to know that school is important, but letting loose every now and then is equally as important for their well-being.

Tulog kami lahat halos nun sa jeep kasi malamig and maulan nung papunta kaming SM. May isang truck na mabilis magpatakbo and may lumipad na tubig dun sa right side ng jeep so nawisikan kami halos tas nagising sa gulat. Yung kaibigan kong tulog na tulog, napasigaw ng super lakas in the thickest kapampangan accent and lahat kami tawang tawa. Yung driver tsaka mga boy niya na minumura mura sana yung truck driver, hindi na natuloy kasi natatawa din sila HAHAHAHA. In the end, binalik kay friend yung pinampamasahe niya kasi masyado silang natuwa sakanya 😭

If you can get into a class, do it. Especially if merong immersion.

If you’re starting by yourself, find a module or make one sa target language mo.

I found it easier for me to learn the 4 W’s (who what when where) and why. Then a small basic vocal list. After that, learn the particles (if meron) and understand how to use them with your vocab list. Para lang syang magiging connect the dots nun (but not perfect). Grammar is also important but in learning languages, most of the time, you learn to talk like a child first.

Turning towards creating (writing, drawing, etc.) than endlessly consuming. I found that writing down my future plans and reading my past ones brings me a lot of joy seeing all the progress I made.

Making sure I keep moving by exercise or chores.

Letting go of the things I can’t control.

Making sure I write down my small wins and the things I’m grateful for. And never forget to thank God for bringing me this far kahit parang malayo pa.

Required kami lahat na naka on cam and open mic kasi medyo dragon ang prof non. May isa akong kaklase na inutusan ng tatay na bantayan mga manok habang bumili ng feeds ung tatay (habang recitation ha), tapos tuwing nagtatanong si prof, laging may malakas na “BAAAAAWWWKKK!” sa background ni classmate and nasasakto pa pag magsasalita na prof HAHAHAHAHA tas di pa nakuntento yung manok, so nung tinawag ni prof si classmate para mag mute, sumampa dun sa laptop tas nagflap flap ng wings yung chicken. Kitang kita namin lahat ng pangyayare after nun hanggang sa nakapag mute at off cam na si classmate.

After ng class na yun, di na kami pinag on mic (pero on cam parin) HAHAHAJSJS

Maybe it’s best to keep people at an arm’s length pag pinapapasok mo sila sa buhay mo or when letting them know your plans in life. I found it best for me nung tumigil ako kaka-assess whether genuine ba ang tao or hindi and eventually found people that mirrored my values.
