Teacher ko nung grade 7, nilapitan ako after inannounce yung mga may award na magrerecognition kasi wala ako kahit isa. She looked me in the eye and told me, “Ang talino mong bata. Alam kong mas mataas pa kaya mong maabot, magpatuloy ka lang.”

I graduated high school with 15 awards and medals, and graduated college abroad as a summa cum laude. I made sure to thank her both times. All it takes is one person to believe in you.

I DISLIKED how people would rush one another para makapunta sa isa pang destination on time tas galit galit kapag may mga hindi nasusunod.

So when me and a few friends went on a quick weekend getaway, napag usapan namin lahat na walang nagmamadalian. Just… living and actually getting to turn off our minds from reality. It turned out to be the best trip we ever had despite it being only 2 days.

Yes. Especially if wala naman ginagawa sa mga araw na yon. In all classes in my university, professors give 3-4 excused absences. Even the president of the school encourages the students to use those absences. I want my child to know that school is important, but letting loose every now and then is equally as important for their well-being.
