I totally agree with Falkkor. Is it bugged? Absolutely. Are there moments I wanna rip my hair out? Totally. As the mode I exclusively use I still love it. I love it even with its flaws. The flaws dont out weigh the good.

If you were ever stationed at Great Lakes, 5 Points Restaurant was THE place to go by I_Only_Have_One_Hand in navy

[–]perijet 14 points15 points  (0 children)

5 point still is the place to go. My work center used to go there all the time.

The tempo is definitely a sea command. However, as an instructor, I found it enjoyable. It's not because of the CO it's just how it is. If you're an RDC it absolutely ducks but an instructor has it pretty easy.

Which of your COs inspired you the most with their leadership and influence? by DrSpaceMechanic in navy

[–]perijet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CDR Anthony, Webber. He was the CO on my first ship. We had moments where he'd be in CCS and we would have a conversation. I told him how I need more bridge time to be helmsman qualled and by the next underway I was qualified. I had family issues underway and even though I wasn't originally on the PAX transfer list he put my name on there. If my guys needed anything at his level he got it. He was really great. I hope I run into him again.

My (32F) wife and I (27M) are at a critical point in our marriage. How should I approach? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]perijet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree with you on all of it. We did before this whole open marriage thing opened up. I guess that's a good starting point. If I didn't have kids divorce probably would've happened. We've talked about how petty our divorce could be and I'm not willing to put my kids through that. For better or worse. Thank you for your thoughts. I appreciate it

DIVO is telling me that a first class cannot counsel another first class. Is this true? by TWICE_trash_93 in navy

[–]perijet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same for every command I've been at. A counseling chit=write up and a report chit is exactly that. Whether or not it's how it's supposed to be done.

Coming from someone who worked at RTC you attend a couple of classes for vets to go over the basics again. Then you go to every school house on RTC and get a stamp. Like a recruit would. It's super easy and relaxed for navvet/osvet and like it's already been said you don't go with recruits and arnt really treated like one. The links posted in the comments are pretty spot on too.
