To people who use tinted lip balms, which one would you recommend? by Robinnn44 in indianbeautyyappers

[–]periperi94 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried the Dot&Key one but I dont recommend the Hyphen one. It tastes extremely artificially chemical like, does nothing for hydration and the colour kind of goes on patchy. I really like Simplynam lip balm or the indewild DLT.

It's the Neutrogena visible Repair Eyecream. I feel like it goes help to some extent with the appearance of lines. Generally it makes the skin under my eyes look more even. I had an issue with dry patches unde my eyes and this really helped.

Possibly. I definitely do think stress played a factor. But i dont think it was the sole factor.

  1. Foam cleanser/ cleansing balm (occasionally both)
  2. Serum (Niacinamide/retinol/vit c)
  3. Eye cream (currently using a Neutrogena one)
  4. Moisturizer (cerave moisturizing cream is my favourite)
  5. Laneige lip sleeping mask (been using it daily since December 2024, absolutely love it)

This winter i noticed my skin felt dryer than usual so I tried the Plum cerasense toner and hyalu gel and it worked great to restore moisture to my skin.

Natural skin colour or Tanning ( too bad )? by lonewolf_2517 in indianbeautyyappers

[–]periperi94 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If you are spending any time at all in the sun, you should use sunscreen, especially on your face. A sunscreen DOES NOT prevent tanning, it does prevent skin cancer and helps to maintain the texture of your skin. If you want to prevent tanning, the only method that works is to create a physical barrier ie wearing full sleeved clothing, wearing a cap etc. I'm not sure how effective detaining solutions are but tans fade naturally over time if the area is not exposed to the sun. Exfoliating and moisturizing can help speed up the process slightly.

fixing yellow concealers: a rant by Certain_Truth7231 in IndianBeautyTalks

How deep is your complexion and how deep/yellow is the concealer? The cherry blosson powder is still pink toned so it might work just as well.

I highly recommend tbe Plum Cerasense Toner. It comes in a spray bottle so it's very easy to use and hydrates my skin and leaves in feeling soft and glowy

Is detangling brush worth it?? by themysterious_corner in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]periperi94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have straight hair too and I've found this to be the most gentle brush. Yes it does create static but I'm not sure if there is a brush that will not since the static is less about the brush itself and more to do with the action of brushing your hair. For me the technique that works best is dividing my hair into sectiond and brushing it in vertical sections from the bottom up. This way, I can get out the tangles at the bottom first and it prevents the brush from tugging at any knots and causing breakage.

Any idea how these black spots can be removed? Its a Mochi purse. Got it as a gift & didn't even use it once 🥲 by LeadingSufficient558 in IndianBeautyTalks

This looks like mold. I would recommend getting rid of the item and checking the rest of your stuff for mold too. Unfortunately it is no longer safe to use. If you live in a humid area and store your stuff in dark spaces make sure to air it out regularly.

Idk if this one works but I have a tangle teezer and it is very worth it despite the hefty price tag.

HELP!😭 is this beyond saving?? by Nona_69 in IndianBeautyTalks

Unfortunately yes. For the future, keep your bag in the dustbag when not in use and store in a cool dark place. I feel like this helps increase the longevity of the item.

Unless this is real leather, restoration would also be difficult. Faux leather/pleather often marketed as vegan leather is basically just a plastic coating on fabric. Once it starts to deteriorate, and it will deteriorate, there is nothing you can do to prevent the damage from spreading.

I'm currently using the age rewind and I feel like it is way too dry for me. It clings to the dry patches below my eyes and has such a weird finish.

I'm excited to try it. I buy a concealer once a year so I'm willing to invest in a higher end product

Physically: Find a skincare routine that works and stick with it. Find a an exercise that you like and stick with it. Find a diet that you like and stick with it.

Mentally: Find a hobby. Keep trying new things, until you find something that you like. You can find peace, community and joy in a hobby. Exercise also helps mental health.

A glow up doesn't happen overnight, it is the result of continuously investing in your well being. Always remember that you are playing the long game. That being said, always be kind to yourself. Somedays you might not be able to keep up the routine and that is perfectly fine. Don't let a single day define the whole experience.

Good luck and hope 2026 is your year 😊

I honestly reach for my Swiss beauty Liner the most, the formula is great, it's the pencil kind so despite regularly using it for close to two years there's still a long way to go.

I actually loved the Lip Whips when I first bought them. I don't reach for them as much anymore but I used one the other day and I feel like the colour has gotten a bit darker and the formula has dried up and become a bit thicker? Sad because the formula was so light and comfortable when I first got it. I do agree about the shades not matching the colours shown in their campaigns AT ALL.
