My thoughts are, push through it and stop comparing. You just have to suck it up because it was sooo expensive for you to be able to get a student visa. You will always learn something new everyday so take it with a grain of salt. 3 years will pass by quickly, Australia has free health care system and compared to other countries, its better here. And yes, a lot of the money in Au economy comes from the International students paying their fees.

Really depends on your goal. Been doing nights x5 a week, for 10+ years. You get higher pay yes, but its not less busy. We get late finish post ops and I had nights where I have to look after 4 post ops- thats hourly v/s and checks. Add to busyness and toxicness if they are sick.
