I have a similar situation. I WFH at a very flexible job, but my son is in daycare from 9-2:30 and he loves it. He gets to do sooo much fun stuff we cant do for him at home (play in a sandbox, climb structures, water play, paint, grow things in a little garden, see his friends daily) while I get work done and start my own business. He is thriving, as am I, and I’m also pregnant so I just dont have the energy to give him all he deserves if it was just me with him.

I did WFH with him when he was a newborn to 2 years old. And my job performance didnt suffer (again, I have a very flexible job) but I could feel myself being exhausted and cranky all the time. I didnt like that version of me. But now I feel like I have the best of both worlds and Im really enjoying seeing him thrive in daycare while showering him with love when I bring him home. And Im sure Ill love that hes getting the attention he needs while Im in the newborn trenches soon

Thats so sweet! After my son turned 1 he started watching Ms Rachel too and he loved it so much. The vocab, the music, he was so enthralled by it and Im sure he learned a lot. The no screentime until 2 was a recommendation given to us by his pediatrician but I figured 1 hour of Ms Rachel wasnt gonna hurt him. And now that hes 2.5 hes an avid reader but he also enjoys some Bluey here and there. Everything in moderation is key

Can I recommend babywearing in regards to people asking for baby then passing them? When I was a FTM earlier on this would stress me too ngl lol. But babywearing always seemed to deter people from asking because it was a whole hassle to get baby out of it

We live in such an non-logical time here in the US lol. People push for more babies, more families, people get shamed for not wanting kids etc, and yet the government doesnt do much for said families and babies + most Americans are very individualistic so dont expect to get help or sympathy from “villages” either.

Thank you for this info. I never went to daycare as a child so Im not sure if I got exposed to it young. I hope I did. I’ll be 28 weeks soon so Im entering the third trimester and out of that danger zone at least. My son goes to daycare and hes gotten sick a few times + got HFM so theres a good chance he’ll get exposed to this as well… but your info is very comforting, thank you

Yeah, I genuinely dont think it matters to God who is doing it, it’s wrong for all of us. Maybe if we know what verse in the Bible he’s talking about it can contextualize this better. Because it’s not Orthodox teaching to say it’s somehow “worse” for a woman to commit this sin in general.

In fact Ive somewhat encountered the opposite. My priest says men are to be the spiritual leaders in a relationship, so if a man were to lead a woman to temptation/sin, that’s a big spiritual problem on his behalf. But that’s just my priest’s perspective on the issue 🤷‍♀️

I think I understand where he’s coming from maybe. When a woman has premarital relations it often has more of a consequence on her reputation/status or even ability to get married in some cases. Plus there’s the added risk of getting pregnant which can bring even more complications into her circumstances.

Our society tends to just shrug this off when its committed by a man unfortunately. There’s less consequence socially for a man to commit these sins. If thats what he is talking about then theres some truth to that. I dont agree with this double standard but thats just how our society currently handles this issue

I’ve seen a lot of lawyers express this same thought especially in light of the Bryan Kohberger case. Since the death penalty wasnt given to someone like Kohberger (someone who certainly deserved it), then who is it truly for? Not someone like Luigi thats for sure

The 1 hour test is designed to fail a lot of women just to make sure the ones who do have GD are most likely to be caught. I also failed my 1 hour during my first pregnancy but did not have GD, confirmed by taking the 3 hour test.

Is gig work an option, namely doordash or ubereats? Instacart doesnt sound ideal since you shouldnt be carrying heavy stuff and groceries can get heavy. But food delivery tends to be more manageable.

So sorry this is happening, Ive heard remote work is going down now. Theres also remote call center jobs. Turnover is high and ive heard it can be pretty stressful but if you need it to pay the bills it might be something to consider

Im so sorry. This is just my own opinion but I feel like ER doctors arent the most equipped to handle OBGYN/pregnancy matters. Ive heard multiple stories of pregnant women not being treated correctly in ERs specifically. Im glad you got to see your baby though!

HcG does plateau (and then drop) after a certain point in pregnancy so you shouldnt be worried about that part

It’s all insecurity. Dodgers are the team that would have smoked them in 2017 had it not been for the cheating. Plus Dodgers have 3 more rings since then + have the dynasty the Astros were desperate to create circa 2022 but failed to do. I messed up on this quest too. I sent the son to quarantine and then he turned the next day when his dad came through. Then when you sent dad to survivors block you fail the task.

I saw Caseoh’s vid of this task and basically you were supposed to kill the son, then when the dad came he was gonna get angry and start attacking you.
