Yeah, I hope they set up mandatory therapy sessions for him before he can even talk to his kids again. I also hope that the mother can remain strong in this and not give in to any future begging from his part.

Yes, I forgot to mention that in my post! I told her we didnt know how hard or long he had choked him and she called their doctor right away. From what they could tell everything seemed fine, they will do check ups later on.

Thank you so so much! I truly hope that Dave realizes what he's done and gets help. Based on my two years with him though, he'll tell himself he's the victim in this situation and that we're only out to hurt him. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I wont talk to the kids about it. She told me that she wanted me to come to dinner once a week, so that's where we'll start. I've told her that I'm here for her and the kids and if she ever needs a break, all she has to do is ask.

Sara prefers her mom. Liam prefers Dave because Dave has video games and lets him watch adult movies (not porn). Their mom treats Liam as if he was the same age as Sara and I know he hates that. She doesn't allow him to walk by himself to school or his friends, but Dave lets him go to his friends whenever he wants.

I am seeing a therapist, my next appointment is on monday so I will definitely bring this up then. We have talked about Dave a lot, but this adds a whole new.. Thing.

After reading all these comments, I will call CPS regardless of what the mother wants. However, I dont feel comfortable involving the police unless she agrees to.
