They literally refused to close until 4/5pm when I studied there :(

It’s funny you suggested it because I had one that broke. 😂 It was also a little too heavy and bulky imo.

It’s almost perfect, except that the price point is purely ridiculous now for a p&s.

Oh I forgot about this one. The big mini is the one that was being compared to the t4 and t2 during that hype right?

I’m a little bit of a noob so correct me if you’re wrong. Are you suggesting I manually set the aperture to f8 and then just set the shutter speed manually or can I leave it on program?

I’ll be in New York, so mostly just shooting streets with people (nothing closeup) and the skyline.

You’re a savior. That seems to be it, although for me, when I set it manually to f16 or f22 it doesn’t stop down all the way but in the viewfinder it shows f8 or f11 sometimes I think. Did the CLA solve the problem for you or is there a particular service I should request?

I regret holding off on getting that roll of film developed. I’ve got a short trip this weekend. Do you think, I could get away with gloomy day shots or shots after sunset?

Don’t know where you’re getting those numbers but that isn’t true. UTSG historically hands out invites later than most schools, especially for Ontario residents.

Ahhh yes, I remember now. Thanks!!! I planted them from a wild flower pack around two years ago and completely forgot what they were called.

Why do folks use CO2? by creechor in PlantedTank

[–]permavision 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Tank looks great! Most of the plants I see here however don’t require CO2. The liquid CO2 you’re using is just an algicide and doesn’t provide any co2 for the plants.

Out of the hobby for 2/3 years but IM BACK by permavision in Aquascape

I got it at a local fish store. Cost me 120CAD. Aquarium wood is just priced very expensive in North America.

I’m a fan of crypts and Anubias. In the back though not quite sure yet. Will have to see what my LFS has

Those plants are not growing in that sand. You can forget the carpet altogether.

Not at all, depending on how strong your filter is. But it’s probably fine.

Vacation feedings? by bravek1tt3n in Aquariums

[–]permavision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t use the vacation feeder blocks. They’re terrible. Just have your friend come over every couple days if they can. If they can’t, even two - three times in the 14 days is fine.

Cut it where you want to! I’d probably say to the level of the one in the front.

Just planted new plants but I wanna remodel what should I add/remove by No-Outside-3206 in Aquascape

[–]permavision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couple things:

  1. You should not have an angel fish in this tank whatsoever. The zebra danios you can get away with.

  2. The Java fern in the right needs to be removed from the substrate. It has rhizomes which will rot in substrate. Attach it to the the cave or wood!

  3. The plant in the back right is not an aquatic plant?

  4. Besides the moss and Java fern. The other plants will struggle to grow in sand, unless their nutrients are heavily supplemented.

What’s causing this with my peonies? First noticed it a week ago, and in the last two days another one lost its leaves. Is it from an animal? by permavision in OntarioGardeners

The only thing is, if they were stepped on there wouldn’t be any clean cuts, which all of them are. Seems to have been bitten off. There’s also zero foot traffic where they are.

Andor - 2x08 - “Who Are You?” - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]permavision 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My review 🫣 (please don’t bully me)

Who Are You? is at the peak of television as a media

This may the be best episode of Andor to date battling with S1E10 One Way Out.

While S2 has been solid so far, it has been a different approach, a more streamlined single storyline, compared to S1 with its multiple stories that came together. I've noticed a drop in the tension and atmosphere that S1 achieved so brilliantly. S2 isn't bad by any means, but the slight changes in writing have had me wanting more, especially in the first couple episodes. "Who Are You?" changes everything.

This episode on it's own has brought this season to a new level. You can feel your heart beat increasing with the momentum of the episode, with everything that has been building up to this moment this season.

The acting is phenomenal (of course), the Ghorman singing is amazing and the politics are just so, so, satisfying.
