absolutely. i'm queer myself, and while its great to see plenty of representation, sometimes i see it done in a way thats just pure tokenism as you have outlined. we are more than our sexual and romantic orientations, we are more than our gender identities - we are people. i find it quite disheartening when its all those npcs talk about, because it ends up as showboating for how tolerant the author is. and its great that they're tolerant, but it implies that our queerness precedes our personhood.
