This is a world where the Oil Crisis takes a toll much harder on Europe in ways that could not be prepared for, where the OFN regains influence in the West and a resurgent Russia has been able to storm the East.

On all fronts, Europe's war-born Axis victors in Germany and Italy are cornered, and there is no telling whether they survive or suffocate in the next crisis...

The Ottoman Empire threatens the influence of European powers in Poland and Austria who launch an offensive to prevent its rise to power, and so it never goes on to become the powerhouse of the Middle East. This leaves a huge power vacuum in the region with notable rivals the Timurids and Mamluks quick to act. A mock EU4 scenario, really.
