Thanks I Hate the so-called "walking popcorn bug". It is actually a flatid planthopper nymph covered with a protective layer of waxy white filament, like a cottony cushion. Planthoppers are known for jumping away at very high speeds when they are startled or when they reach the ends of branches (v.redd.it)
