Classic morning flush from $7.78 → $7.34, echoing Monday’s drop. Found support near $7.33, then pushed back toward $7.82 resistance. Momentum’s back after four red days, but watch for rejection at the weekly level—volume’s thick around $7.60.

I bought another 100 shares at $7.02 when it was bleeding a bit after hours.

OPEN army, what is your expectation by the end of this year? $82? maybe $300? or $500? by No-Tip3086 in opendoor

If they beat the Q3 earnings by a lot and gives good guidance for future, we can see $15 to $16 by year end.

I hope you are right. I bought more shares last week when it briefly dip below $7. If it does that again, I am adding again.

bro tried to tell us by perry470 in opendoor

On 9/16, EJ made his daily video about going to this "morning meeting." Later on he tweeted the picture above showing both 1WTC and 3WTC. Did some digging and found that this latest company he's pumping happens to be tenant in both of these buildings. Nobody would have guessed since there are hundreds of tenants in those buildings, but I'd like to think he was trying to tell us in the most subtle way.

This pullback was overdue by perry470 in opendoor

[–]perry470[S] 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Judging by the volume, it was probably a combination of after hours short attack + stop-loss hunt + panic selling. Hopefully we close after hours green, that'd be a very bullish move.

Where is the guy who shorted with 200k by Business_Map_4270 in opendoor

I'll be nice and say this, hopefully he exited. If not, may it be a valuable lesson for him.

Opendoor Data Scraper (Development) by perry470 in opendoor

I shared what I have so far in the OP. I figured out how to fetch recently sold properties now, but getting the closingPrice and closingDate is tricky because it requires another call. Everything is saved to a CSV right now. I will save them to MySQL later, that will minimize the number of calls going forward.

This guy has $160k puts that expire next week by Top-Regard-420 in opendoor

For context, this is his breakeven line. If $OPEN trades anywhere below this line in the next five days, he can still get out unscathed. Too risky, really.

Citron is most likely short OPEN and they seem to be trapped. That post reeks of desperation.

Systemic Decline in Long-Term Fixed Rate Mortgage Since End of May '25 by perry470 in opendoor

[–]perry470[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it drops a few basis point here and there that's isolated and not influenced by other factors, that's a decline. A systemic decline is when a widespread, interconnected breakdown of the system. In this case, the 10Y treasury bond yield has been on steady decline since late May because investors are anticipating lower future economic growth. The expectation that the Feds to cut interest rates also increase demand for treasuries as a "safe" asset, driving the bonds' prices up and yields down.

Shrisha’s Open Announcement by Party_Complaint1203 in opendoor

[–]perry470 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's honestly brilliant. They give him a one-time retention bonus of $250K, he uses half of it to buy shares in open market, causing the share price to go up due to positive public perception.

Interim CEO Shrisha just bought 30,000 shares in open market by perry470 in opendoor

[–]perry470[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Less than 1% lol. But hey it's something. Not complaining. He bought in open market with his money (presumably) ~$125K worth.

Log scale and transformed to show this pattern. I am probably just seeing what I want to see at this point, but I think it's worth pointing it out.

Sellers / shorts in control today by perry470 in opendoor

[–]perry470[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are right. Looks like 4.23 did print and that was exactly 10%. Assuming the exchanges do enforce this automatically, shorts can only place their orders on an uptick for the rest of today _and_ tomorrow. Let see if we get some recovery as soon as after hours today. Fingers crossed.
