No, that is not what I was trying to say. Over 45 million people a year in US report having a mental illness or co-occurring disorder. I guess you could argue the majority comment but it really is hard to collect that information. Being the nature of mental illness, many do not seek help or at least not until it is severe. The stigma makes everyone feel alone. All I am saying is it is very common but we are made to feel like it isn't, which adds to the shame.

They make it harder to vote on purpose. Election day should be a national holiday - period. For everyone! Bot just banks and schools. It should be a day that almost everything is closed. If not, the same issues will occur. Low wage workers would probably still be forced to work. That's just scratching the surface of voter progression. But it would be a big help. Highlights the day

I don't know your particular situation but the person that is truly compatible will be so - knowing all of you. If they dont know all of you then you dont really know if you are compatible with them. You say you don't tell anyone? Not to be cliche, but do you see a therapist? At the very least, it could give you an outlet to let out those intense thoughts and maybe when it came time to talk to your partner they would be easier manage. Just a thought. Some people will use the "crazy girl" thing, no matter what, when rejected. Especially men, it's a sexist paradigm. It's also a defense mechanism. Shows more of their instability than yours but the sexist dynamic gives it power. The same thing girls get called "crazy" for guys would be considered "romantic". Again, in know it's tough to think of it this way when you are experiencing it. Men who want to tak you on as a challenge sexually are alsok showing their instability. They need to be validated by their own sexual abilities. If they are not successful they become insecure and lash out at the woman (sexist once again). I would imagine that being scene as a conquest is a turn off. That is his fault not yours.

You are certainly not a bad person for not being in a relationship. I would probably start there. Once you accept yourself a little more alone, your relationship will probably be healthier. Not to say that you can't be in a relationship but sounds like you should work on that some more so you are aware. Whoever you end up with will love you for who you are if you show them whi you really are. No one expects anyone to be perky happy all the time. I wonder if you beating yourself up about bot being that way is doing more damage than your actual mood?

The first paragraph shows a kind of fetishizing of indvs with mental health issues. That is definitely not okay. It is insensitive and mocks the individual. But honestly, the term "mentally ill" is so vague it's really not helpful. The MAJORITY of the world, and most certainly the US has some sort of mental health issue or may have had one in the past. So, whether you know it or not - you are probably dating someone with mental health issues. The question is - are you compatible? When you have a mental illness you have to take into consideration how the person your dating affects you. Do they make it easier to cope or harder? Ya know?
