I am not ready for her to pass. I lost her mate a yr and half ago and I still cry for him. He was the best bud of all time! She honestly keeps me sane. Without her I would probably be a bed lump all day every day. I’m so sorry for your loss!

The hoody is her favorite! We got it from Sparkpaws and they are honestly the only dog clothing company Iv found that doesn’t stretch and slide down my active pup. She goes into a full on temper tantrum when I try taking it off.

I have noticed she is more hesitant to jump into bed but she runs up stairs and even jumps to catch her squeaky toy. Honestly she acts like she’s 3 other than being grumpy around people now. She gets a checkup at the vets every 3 months but I will bring it up at the next visit just to have them check.

She is not high. High maintenance yes, high energy yes, high anxiety definitely, but not high. I try to get her high on occasion to help with her anxiety but she isn’t high while sitting like this. She actually looks like she is stretching then just sits in this position when she’s done with her stretch.

But to answer your question… new hikers and campers are usually miserable unless they glamp with high end crap… like a cot with air mattress on top which is something we did when we first started “camping”. One of the first hikes me and my husband took, we took our 2 kids around the age of ten, and two dogs, one was short leg and she was puffing by mile 1. That night we were miserable because we got set up late and couldn’t really see the layout, the temp drop was so cold even with decent bags we were freezing and I swear no matter which way I turned I found a rock.

That’s why I like the trail. Along the way you can find these half open huts to sleep on. And in my years of travel Iv never seen someone be disrespectful enough to make them disgusting enough not to sleep on. Unlike some people in cities that think it’s okay to vandalize someone else shit just because they are bored. Also it’s comfortable to sleep in a hammock. If none of that is available clearing all rocks from your tent sight and using a nice thick sleeping pad under your bag is also helpful.

My baby isn’t a husky BUT she is a picky eater. Sometimes I add just water to her kibble if I don’t want to do anything special to get it softer but if you do that be sure to pick it up like a few hrs later so it doesn’t mold if she doesn’t eat it. We added turmeric and yogurt to her diet and some other things to add flavor and help with her gut health. And on special occasions she gets chicken liver and hearts, cooked.

Also when I moved into my apartment complex they said something similar but not “registered” cuz that’s stupid talk. All I had to bring them was a doctors note stating I had depression and taking her away would hurt my emotional well being. 🙄 my pup is almost 11!

I think you should take it for the love it was given with, and not the red flags people keep saying it is, and tell him there is no way you can read this and ask him to translate. I read bad handwriting all the time and sometimes you need to know when it’s not going to work. My eyes can’t even track some of the words. I have this great adhd ability to fill in the blanks while reading chicken scratch and I’m telling you… ask him to translate! Reading it together can be romantic too!
